I have HSV2 he doesn't....

When I was a teen I dated a guy for 4 years...he was the love of life.  Due to a recent tragedy in his life, I reached out to him through Facebook.  We ended up starting to chat again, and are in the process of trying to rekindle the love we had for each other.

I disclosed to him that I have HSV2 as soon as we met in person.  I thought it was only fair that he should know.  He said he would do his own research and we have had ALOT of sex with condoms.  I know he hates them....as do I.  

I requested him to get a FULL STD screen....he tested neagative for HSV2 but positive for HsV1.  

I do not take prescribed antiviral drugs becasue I have yet to find one that doesn't give me some sort of side effects.  But I take Red Marine Algea, olive leaf extract, and a few other vitamins.  I have had the virus for almost 5 years.

IF we were to have sex with no outbreak present (and I have him wash his penis afterwards with Tea Tree soap) could someone tell me what the chances of transmission is?  We LOVE sex....so it would be ALOT.  

I open to any comments or help.  I would also like to hear for anybody that has had a none positive partner that they had UNPROCTECTED SEX WITH    I am a female, so I am looking for transmission from female to male....I am not on prescription antivirals but on natural ones (olive leaf extract, lysine, and Red Marine Algea)

I completely understand what you are saying but Unfortunately you are asking for a prediction of the future and since we are all so very different the way our bodies deal with this virus there is no way of knowing what will happen. I have had unprotected sex with men, after full disclosure. I am female, I get it, we don't like condoms for many reasons but know they are not perfect protection either because skin to skin is not always the area covered that is the problem. I am Not a medical professional just someone like yourself who chooses to treat my virus naturally to avoid further stress through pharma. Your supplement regime is impressive and I'm really glad it is working for you. I use L-Lysine and Oil of Oregano as well as homeopathics from my Naturopathic Doctor. I switch things up and stay off some for a while to allow the body to rest, use up and not get immune to their defences.  All precautions are a wonderful aid but if you have an internal shedding you are not aware of washing may not help in time. Since you follow the holistic approach, as I have done for 30yrs, look at what your supplements and Tea Tree offer. The vitamins support the immune system, the olive leaf extract supposedly stops the virus in its replication stage so this may stop the shedding. I have not researched marine algea so have no comment. Tea tree is a wonderful antiviral that also stops replication as other essential oil antivirals will. Problem with antiviral essential oils, it is never recommended to put essential oils in a mucous area. You are probably very aware of every twitch and tingle your body offers you and you have had enough experience to know when to go into action.

You said you are open to any comments or help, so here goes!!!! Have you ever used a pendulum to ask your body questions? Here is a link I just found that explains this through history and you may find it interesting, since in essence, you are asking for a prediction.

I offer this only as a means of support and another avenue to travel because we are all looking for answers that work for us. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to ask your body a question like "is this particular time safe from HSV for both of us"???? "   "Do I need antiviral supplements today?"  "Is an outbreak imminent?"

  Please be very specific when asking questions. Ambiguous questions will give ambiguous or false answers through lack of clarity!!!! The most important thing I found to say to myself is "Stand aside Ego" because sometimes it is hard to believe the answer when it is exactly what we want to hear but we want the true answer from our higher self not our ego that wants us to have what we want. This is not to be used for predicting lotteries in case the brain makes the ego jump upon hearing we can get answers!! If it worked for that I would be rich now instead of healthy!!!!

I applaud your dedication to self healing, and your compassion to protect others. Education is our strongest ally and life Is a minefield!!!

I had a 3 year relationship with a non-H partner and never passed it.  I did not take antivirals and we did not use condoms.  If I was even the smallest bit unsure, we would refrain from sex.  But as SureWhyNot mentioned, there are no guarantees.

I practice Reiki so I am very familiar with using a pendulum. That is a superb idea as I have not thought about using it as you suggested. and I love the holistic approach...  I was also looking at adding St John's wort and Echinacea to my current regimen.  I have also read that high amounts of vitamin C....expecially Liposomal because it is like 97% available to the Cells.

Hello ladies I am a male I had an outbreak on my lower left base of male parts the condom don't cover therefore I use lemon balm and coconut/oregano oil topical and MMS to clear blood. I also take olive leaf extract authentic herb, antivirals daily, mens vitamins, If I pull a hair I get irritated in the location then I apply application and goes away. I have used condoms since I before diagnosed and never unprotected that's almost two years wow! If only I could experience it again. I never take advantage of a woman despite their adamant demeanor about wont it unprotected they are just not educated on have they don't believe cold sore can become std. I don't believe in multiple partners no way I could if I had a male ego but hell no. So my question is I have feelings as deep as the sea for a woman who has HSV 1 I have 2 I believe despite doctors say in I don't after visual but culture said I do she wants a child but I'm too scared to transmit and I would never want anyone to suffer as I do help please.

Hello, I have only had this since nov 2015. I am in a relationship and he is aware that I have both types. He has the oral type, I think I gave it to him. I'm trying not to transmit it to him. I have been having frequent breakouts and pain for about 3 weeks out of every month. I'm thinking of trying suppressive therapy at this point. Can you please tell me the mg. of the holistic regimine that you are taking please!

HolisticGirl, I know this post isn't new anymore... but wanted to let you know that I have been with my husband now for over 16 years. I have HSV2 and he still does not. While we are careful to avoid sex during OB, we also have two children so you do the math. 

A good friend of mine also has HSV2 and she has been with her husband over 10 years. They have 2 children as well and never use protection and have a VERY healthy active sex life. He still does not have the virus.

Obviously these are just two examples and everyone's body and potential to acquire this is different. I truly believe my less than stellar health at the time I acquired it played at least a partial role. I love the holistic things that you are doing too - sounds like you are on top of this!

At the end of the day, however, you both need to be ok if he gets it. It doesn't mean you won't try to prevent it but I think taking the stress off of you is a good thing too. It's funny that I stress a lot more about my husband getting it than he does! He accepts (all of) me and it truly doesn't phase him.
