Confused..

Hello, Everyone.

I went to the hospital today, because I found a sore in my nether regions. At first, I thought just an ingrown hair.. Then it became an open sore. I searched and searched the net looking for answer. The ER doctor upon visual examination told me it was herpes. I asked if there was anything I could do, to be sure. I've been with the same man for 2.5 years, neither of us have ever had a sign or symptom before. He stated that I could get a blood test, but it would do me no good, he was positive it was herpes.

I find myself sitting here angry and confused. I feel disgusting, I've never had an std before. Where do I go from here? What do I do? All they gave my was an antibiotic, no information. The internet can be helpful, but I'm finding nothing telling me how to care for myself and what I can and can't do now.

you don't have to rush here,we can always post the report to you.

Its just a herpes virus.

You are very lucky to have found this forum with people who have had experiences they can share to give you clarity of what is happening to you and how to deal. I would highly recommend you find a Master Herbalist or respected Naturopathic Doctor (ND) who knows how to treat this virus. You have a better chance going after this in its initial stages. Please know I was able to kill the Hep C virus I contacted after surgery, yes it still happens to patients but of course it was something I did not them! I found out within 2 mths after surgery, because I insisted on blood work they said was not necessary, so my chances were strong to stop it in its tracks. I went into action immediately upon hearing the diagnosis. I took charge of my life and health instead of leaving it to doctors who see me for 10 minutes.  If you can find a Naturopath ND who does Applied Kinesiology you will be amazed at what they could offer you as your body will tell what it wants to treat this because we all react and respond differently. There are many natural antivirals that could be prescribed for your body as we are all different and you will be treated specifically to you not to a virus general doctors do not know what to do with. Also know this will lead you in a direction of optimal health because you are now aware of your body as never before. Your strongest ally is your knowledge about this virus and how it is acting on you. Did you know oxygen is a powerful agent against HSV? There are plants on this planet that work against viruses? Lemons offer Interferon similarities? Arm yourself with knowledge and you will fight this battle successfully. Remember that you are smarter than a virus!!!!!

I don't have any insurance, a personal doctor isn't in the cards for me at the moment. Can a health department do this kind of test for me?

I myself don't believe in pharmaceuticals. Is there a website where I could look more into these herbs you speak of.

I have no medical training and only speak from my personal experiences. I would never recommend someone take something internally without expert advice. I would like to say go ahead and take something that works for me but we are different, though I am sure equally delightful! My body changes constantly so one treatment that works for a long time may not another. I too am on a ridiculously fixed income but have found a Naturopath (ND) who charges a minimal amount for 10 mins and you would be shocked at how much my body will tell him in that time. The secret of Applied Kinesiolgy. That is why I mention that particular type of professional as treatments are reasonable after the initial evaluation visit. It will shortcut the experimental stages of trying the wrong thing and waiting for results. Most Naturopaths are Herbalists as well so they treat from many modalities and can advise what is appropriate for you. Many are Chiropractors as well, so bonus!

I only mentioned the previous treatments to trigger your search knowing there are many options and the more you understand this the more empowered you are to fight back. You can do a web search looking for natural treatments but do your homework before accepting anything as fact unless you are working under supervision. This site has so many people sharing experiences you may find something that rings true to you. There is wealth of knowledge here but also some misconceptions we must all work through. Not for me to judge or prescribe. I am sure that is why we are here, to learn and share positive approaches to a negative.

After that diatribe, back to having no money for a specialist. I get it. So now you put the power back into your own hands! I put this out there earlier and did get approval from another who also follows Holistic practice. So again, here goes. I use a Pendulum to ask my body what is appropriate. It is a personal form of Applied Kinesiology called Dowsing. Long story short I have tried everything in my 35ish yrs of doing battle, quite successfully. I leave this notion to you to research for yourself. Please do your homework on this as well, not just the first thing you read, as there are appropriate guidelines that should be followed and all done with respect to what you are doing. You may find someone in a Metaphysical Store in your area that could help you with this as we are very proud to share something every human has the innate ability to do, we just don't know about this unless we are told.

It seems you get to see quickly this is a journey that will actually lead to optimum health!!! Not so much a glass half empty or full concept, more knowing the glass is refillable!!!

I hadn't thought to seek my own body for answers. Its barely been 24 hours since being told. You have been very helpful. Thank you. For now, I will take the antibiotic they gave me and see how it works while I find somewhere to get a legit test, and then further explore my options.

thank you to everyone for your feedback.

It seems to be clearing up, though. It's been 3 days since I first noticed an issue. I had 4 small bumps. Three in a cluster and one separate at the bottom, I'm down to only one of the 3. I'm hoping this is a good sign

I want to pass on what my Master Herbalist said to me 25yrs ago. I found him after having HSV2 for 10yrs.

"Too bad you did not find me when you first came in contact before the virus had time to take hold and find its place to live in me!"

My intention is not to scare just share everything I have learned over the years in case anything helps others. Knowledge will empower you to defeat this.

I forgot about Oxygen! No virus can live in pure oxygen, nothing can, including us so you may want to research your options as that can be an affordable option. I used to bathe in 35% FOOD GRADE Hydrogen Peroxide but now you can get oxygen pills! Not saying this is right but more research for you!!!

I have been doing some research, yet again. The doctor who diagnosed me, by visual examination said "with how popular oral has become in recent years, you can no longer tell if you have 1 or 2 based on the location of the outbreak"

Everything I am finding says that hsv2 can occur on your face as cold sores and on your genitals, but only hsv1 will occur around your mouth. My outbreak is around the vaginal area.. Never anything around my mouth. Until I get tested, am I safe to assume its hsv2 based on the location?

Also, I had a rash type thing pop up on my chest at the same time as the outbreak. Its just a bunch of little pimples basically. Can this have something to do with the virus?

I have little red pimples in my pubic hair.  They itch and hurt when rubbed against clothing.  Do you have that too?  I think everything on my body is a herpe at this point.  Not a pleasant feeling to be afraid to rub lotion onto your stomach because you think they are all over it.

no, I have open sores around my vagina. There's only one left now, I started with 4. The pimply rash i have is on my chest, though it started about the same time. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't itch, just looks gross.

I am still unsure of my diagnosis, unfortunately. There is a possibility of mrsa for me as well. Have you been tested? How trustworthy it is, I can't be sure. I went to the ER and was given antibiotics and referred to a doctor.

I think it's strange that they gave you antibiotics. You should have been given an anti-viral like Valtrex because hsv is a virus and I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure antibiotics are only used to treat bacterial infections. I'm not completely positive, but it sounds odd.

I was given bactrim and acyclovir. One of each, bactrim for the possible mrsa and the acyclovir for kidney infection and hsv diagnosis. They didn't do any sort of tests, though.

Oh okay then that sounds right. They really should have done tests though. Is there anyway you could go to a clinic and get tested? Maybe planned parenthood wouldn't be too expensive?

I lost my job right before the holidays so things are pretty rough, had to borrow money just to get the script filled. But a test is on the agenda as soon as I find somewhere affordable. Though, I am assuming since my husband (separated for 2.5 years) admitted he knew about the diagnosis before we ever got married. And I didn't get any symptoms until after I foolishly choose to sleep with him two weeks ago. That I'm pretty safe to assume my diagnosis is correct.

that was a fun one to explain to my current boyfriend of 2 years.

Hi guys, My name is Shelly. I'm 25 years old! I've had Herpes for 5 going on 6 years now. I'm just here hoping to learn more ways to deal with the situation and meet new people who actually know what I'm going through!  Thank you for reading! 💕

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
