Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed with HSV2 for about four years now and I have some questions.

What are the chances of me contracting this orally? and can  can someone tell me is this what I have? Last week the bridge of my nose started twitching and I saw that  some blood vessels burst on my left cheek (face). The next day I went to to wash my face and I seen small bumps on my upper lip. There was no pain, at all during this time.  I don't know whats going on can someone help me please.

Hey Dreaming, it is rare for your Ghsv 2 to transfer to your facial/oral area. Have you thought of getting those bumps swabbed or cultured? That would be the only way to know for sure what those bumps are in that area. I have Ghsv 2 and I can't imagine how you could transfer this herpes to your facial area honey. Keep us posted, but see a doctor. Truly Aces xo

I just asked this question in reverse on previous post! I have both 1 and 2. When I had my first Ob I half thought maybe I gave it to myself. My previous partner had it and I got diagnosed as positive but had no symptoms until a year after I left him. When I looked back on situation I remembered having a cold sore, not thinking about it, gave a blow job to new partner then all of the sudden had an ob down there! But from what I'm learning if you have hs2, and are having an ob, a partner went down on you then kissed you, it's apparently harder for it to be transmitted that way. It seems it would, but this is just what I'm hearing on here.

With an established genital infection, there is essentially a zero chance of obtaining an oral infection.

It may be though that you already have an oral HSV-1 infection.

The cheek blood vessels is unrelated to herpes.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
