Does HSV2 transmit From BJ?

You'll need to be more specific about what you're trying to learn. If it's just a matter of the herpes virus being able to go from the genital area to the oral area or vice versa, it's possible much the same way as the virus going from oral to oral or genital to genital.

For a general resource, I'd recommend this one:

See page 16.

If hsv2 is at the genital area, how would a BJ transmitt from oral to genital area?

Example :

Female with hsv2 giving a BJ to a non infected person. What are the likelihood of getting hsv 2 and how?

from what I know, hsv 2 transmit when come in contact with the infected area. Not through body fluid or expose wound right?

@VVK if a female has HSV II genital. How is it possible to transmit the virus performing oral sex? Skin to skin contact is required. Providing the OP is not having contact with her nether regions, he should be fine. Even if the female was shedding, she would do so at the source of original infection.

OP, I can't find a link for it (at work, limited time) but transferring HSV II genital to someone orally CAN be done but it's very rare... HSV II prefers genitals. HSV I however, likes both mouths and genitals... It's like a honey badger... HSV I don't care! HSV I don't give a s**t. It just goes where it wants. (YouTube reference - look up honey badger documentary) I'll paste a link later if ya want. Haha

If a female with genital HSV2 gives oral sex to an uninfected person, then there's no way HSV2 can be transmitted if that's the extent of the action and the female doesn't have HSV orally. The virus needs to be present at the sites of contact in order for transmission to occur.

HSV 2 can be oral, less likely but possible.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
