Remedies to help the pain?

Hello.

I was recently diagnosed with Herpes, and I have some questions about controlling the pain, and some questions about future outbreaks.

My first outbreak was horrible. Sorry for the TMI, but I had hideous pain while urinating for days, I could not sit because of the sores, and my groin lymph nodes felt like golfballs. It took me about a month to fully recover. ( After the sores healed, I had lots of itching and discomfort.) I am now having my second outbreak, and thankfully, it is MUCH better. However, I am wondering if I could get some helpful tips and tricks on how to soothe the pain. I am experiencing painful sores that hurt when I walk ( I am a woman, and lets just say the sores are in areas that tend to rub together when walking, exercising etc.) however, I am feeling the most discomfort in my lymph nodes. So here are my questions so I can prepare for future outbreaks:

1.) What are some remedies that you have found helpful with healing the sores?

2.) What are some remedies that you have found to help with swollen, painful lymph nodes?

3.) In case I have outbreaks that make urinating painful, what helps with the pain?

4.) Will the outbreaks continue to be as painful, or will they gradually become less obnoxious over time?

5.) When I asked my doctor how to make the painful urinating tolerable, she recommended I spread and cover certain areas to relive the pain. Has anyone tried this, and is it effective? ( I'm not a big fan of getting urine on my hand, but if it works, it works!)

Please do not be afraid to go into detail. I am asking for any and every type of advice possible. I appreciate the help, and I am hoping that these responses will not only help me, but others who read with managing their pain.

Well, if i knew what I knew now back during my primary infection, I would get Lysine Extra by Vitanica ($13 online).   Such a powerful formula that will help clear the lymphatic congestion, heal/regenerate the flesh and nerves.  I'm usually opinionated when it comes to naturopaths but this formula was created by an ND that really knew what she was doing.   This formula will help with the urinating.

But for the time right now.   garlic is a good food level herb.  Google garlic and herpes, miracleofgarlic something dot com...

Garlic helps move the blood and lymphatics.   If you goto a health food store, you can get Super Lysine Plus by Quantum (~$15).   Has lysine, garlic, echinacea and some other goodies. basically, help to move the lymph and enhance the immune system.   Still NOTHING compared to the Lysine Extra formula, but it's something you'd be able to buy without ordering.

It'll get better but you gotta clear and smoothen the terrain

This site is a nice lil resource of remedies.

When it comes to the pain during urination, what I've found is wetting down a wash rag with warm water and holding it to the area while you go. You get the urine on your hand, but it really helps with the pain. I've also read that you can poor warm water onto your bits at the same time you go to dilute the urine, but I haven't tried this. Just make sure you fully dry the area after. I'm not a doctor and this could be bad advice, but that's what I have found to work and help relieve the pain.

1. Tea tree oil or hydrogen peroxide to the sores. I  also put tea tree oil in my bath water to help with the itch and tingle.  Also take lysine, multivitamin, garlic, zinc, super  B complex, vit C.

2. Tylenol and Aleve taken at the same time.  Warm packs to the groin. Are you on an antiviral?

3. Trying to cover the sores before urination.

4. Outbreaks are different for everyone but gradually get better with time

I am writing an e-book very soon which will outline my own successes and techniues used from this forum. I think I have the core supplements nailed down, and i have vigorously experimented with periods where i have lacked these supps and vitamins and then re-started.

Pouring water over while urinating has been a god send for me. In Primary outbreak right now and not to be too dramatic, but it is debilitating. I can't even tolerate walking normally which has been really hard to hide.

I am a believer in evidence based treatments and a well-founded study showed that propolis helped heal sores faster compared to a control. So, my own made up strategy is that when I use the restroom I pour water over while urinating and a little longer after to make sure it is extra clean then pat dry. Then I alternate using the propolis and tea tree oil. My dr. gave me lidocaine but the tea tree oil has a mentholated sensation that actually interrupts the pain and itch signals received by your nerve endings.

I am a newbie too though  so I may be doing this wrong. I still haven't been able to exercise and even though I pat dry or use hair dryers I feel like mine just keeps spreading and spreading.

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
