asymptomatic hsv 1 after 2 years....

Recommended Posts

Hello...I tested positive for hsv 1 at 42.30 "High", and never had an outbreak which i guess this makes me asymptomatic for hsv 1 ....I want to know if anyone who found out they are hsv 1 positive is feeling similar to the way im feeling.. Im having difficulty breathing at times and my neck is sort of stiff and i get random muscle twitches all over my body....when I move my neck, it would hurt and i can feel and hear this kind of cracking sound... is this common feeling for hsv 1? I tested for every std available for testing...and only came positive for hsv 1...why do doctors act like this disease is not a big deal? I feel like dying already...i always used a condom and never have i heard about skin to skin contact std's in my life...I cant believe this is happening to me..

There is little doubt that you have had HSV-1 since childhood, most probably before living memory (from 3 months old to 3 years old).

Your body is clearly doing a great job with HSV-1 to not have any symptoms you recall and there is no reason to believe it will not continue to do so.

That means that your current symptoms have nothing to do with HSV-1! HSV simply does not cause these symptoms. I am also not sure why STD testing is relevant as these symptoms would not have any relation to any that I know. There is no connection.

You most probably have a spinal issue commencing in the vertebrae in your neck. Have you consulted a chiropractor or physio and had an x-ray on your spine?

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
