HSV2 Genital outbreaks

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone... So for the past year or so I have been getting genital outbreaks about once every 2-3 months in the same exact spot. Each time it heals quicker than the last... This week it healed in 3 days after taking 500 MG of Valtrex 2 times a day a long with some vitamins. However when my normal outbreak occurred I noticed my anal area/taint was itchy... I didn't think anything of it and scratched it throughout the day and later on I took a picture of it since I couldn't see what it was and it was a massive outbreak! I am a straight male and never had any play back there so I am really confused how this could have happened?!!? I am going to the Dr. tomorrow to see what this could be related too.. It is taking a little longer to heal and is almost gone... I just hope he can explain what happened here if its gone by tomorrow... I read online that it is possible for HSV2 to pop up anywhere the nerve runs if you have it genitally including the back side area.... I just finally got used to the flare ups every other month on my penis and my girlfriend is fine with it as well but now this happened out of nowhere and I am concerned I have to worry about this outbreak too now!

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated... I really hope this is a one time thing because it really bothered me more than my normal outbreak.. Thanks in advance.....

Hi ShotDown.  I have had this virus a while.  My ob's started in my vaginal area and migrated to my anal area, where they are all the time now.  Yes, your ob's may occur in different places along the nerves affected.  Although it did take some getting used to, these ob's heal faster and don't hurt as much.  Hope this helps.

I am a female but have had this for almost 35yrs and from experience know it is going to do what it wants. I have many Holistic approaches that work for me most of the time but I can get thrown for a loop every now and then and that area is definitely one of the most unpleasant aspects. It never makes sense when or why. My experience also tells me it is very rare so rest your mind.

You have learned one of the most important signals you may be in active OB, the weird itch. This does not mean you need to react at every twitch your body will offer you but you will soon learn what feels abnormal. You are very fortunate your OB's heal quickly. You must be doing something right!!!

I am really hoping this is a rare occurrence because it was not pleasant to go through. I have been trying to be more calm in situation and not stress too much but I am also taking a ton of vitamins. I take Vit C, E, B12, zinc, lysine, Red Algea, Olive Leaf extract  and Echinacea. I was hoping it would help stop my outbreaks like others i have read about but so far after 2 months no luck. Maybe it takes a while to get used to my body so i will keep at it. However i did catch this outbreak early and took 500 mg Valtrex at early signs. It basically got red swelled up and cleared overnight but then scabed over which took a couple of days in the groin area but the back area didn't heal as quick maybe cause it was the first time. That area as a straight male is just really embarrassing :( and i hope it doesn't return but I am sure it will since it broke the skin and made a new path... Oh well lets hope i get lucky... thanks guys...

Hi guys, My name is Shelly. I'm 25 years old! I've had Herpes for 5 going on 6 years now. I'm just here hoping to learn more ways to deal with the situation and meet new people who actually know what I'm going through!  Thank you for reading! 💕

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
