Hello, And Welcome. I'm Deciding To Share My Story With The World. I Am 21 Yrs Old And I Have Been Diagnosed With The Herpes 2 Std. I Was Shocked, All I Could Do Was Cry. And The Worst Part About It? I Got It From My Mother. No I wasn't Born With The Disease It Was From An Old Boyfriend Of Mine. My Mother Slept With Him And He Got It Then Unknowingly Transfered It To Me. It's No Joke And It's Definately Not Fun. I Sometimes Get So Angry About The Situation Knowing Theres Nothing I Can Do. I'm Young. I haven't Had The Chance To Meet My Soulmate Fall In Love And Have This Big Beautiful Wedding Or My First Child. I Lost My First In A Miscarriage About 4 Years Ago At 18 And Now I'm Just Stuck In Life Wondering How I'm Going To Have A Child And Have Herpes. I Don't Want My Children To EVER have To Go Through What I'm Dealing With For The Rest Of My Life. At This Very Moment I'm Going Through Another One Of My Breakouts And I'm About 3 Days In And I Feel So Much Like Just Throwing In The Towel. But I Can't . This Expieriance Is Just A Confidance Breaker And I Can't Even Imagine How Not To Feel Ashamed Of My Self. This Can't Be A "Live And Learn" Expieriance, Because This Isn't An Instant Where You Touch A Hot Stove And Know Not To Do It AnyMore, No This Is More Like A Touched A Hot Stove And Your Dealing With The Burning And The Stinging And The Trouble Peeing, Wiping, Washing your Vagina, Walking Type of Situation. It Just Sucks So Bad That For The Rest Of My Life I'm Gonna Have To Go Through This.

I am so sorry you got this from your mother. That has to be the worst possible way to get Herpes. I couldn't imagine the feeling you must of felt when you found out. I was just recently diagnosed and i've done nothing but cry and sulk. I'm in a similar situation- i'm young, haven't found my soul mate or had a fairy tale wedding i've always dreamed about. I'm having my first outbreak right now and it's god awful. I feel like i'm dying. Back pains, pelvis pains, headaches, barely can walk because my V is so swollen from the blisters. Peeing has never been so difficult. I regret taking advantage of the times when it was easy and i could wipe and go. 

What has helped me is reading other people's successes on this website. Also chatting with people who have had this virus for quite some time and know more about transmission rates and all that junk. Relationships will change and meeting potential partners will be hard but there will always be a silver-lining. I hope we both find it one day.
