I'm 33 And pretty sure I have herpes.. I can't afford to go to the doctor for a couple weeks .. but have been reading about herpes since I started having problems down there. Im not quite sure the exact date it all started .. but today is the worst !! I feel so sick my whole body hurts especially my rib cage.. it hurts so bad when I pee I want to scream.. and then cry ..

I am scared since I can't see a doctor yet will this clear up on its own or do I have to be on a prescription? Does anyone else have pain in their rib cage? It hurts this is miserable !!!

Ok let's see how we can help.

Have you got bad sores over your vagina? If so you can probably get a swab performed at a hospital emergency and this is recommended.

How long ago did it start roughly. What was your sexual history in the week leading into symptoms commencing.

The rib cage has nothing to do with herpes, again I'd present to emergency to be seen.

Herpes will clear on its own within 1-2 weeks.

Thank you for you response.I have sores at the top of my labia and on my butt.. 

About 2 or 3 weeks ago my boyfriend of a couple months went down on me a few days later he asked if I ever get cold sores cause he had gotten one.. I never have before and told him no but didn't think anything of it at the time.. he said he use to get then when he was a kid. 

I've had the symptoms about 4-5 days probably . I've been working out so I at first thought it was just irritation from that.. but Then all of a sudden it got alot worse.. today was definitely the worst day . I had a fever and chills All day and it was just plain painfull and uncomfortable !!!

Get to Emergency for a swab now, particularly considering this the worst day.

Can you describe the sores?

Could this be a primary outbreak from a HSV-1 infection? Yes it could, although timing seems a little out Have you had oral sex since the time you describe?

It could also be something else and you're just putting the herpes overlay to it. 

Either way, take control and get this sorted!

Goto an acupuncturist. This is a classic presentation that they can relieve easily.  Viral infection like herpes can present like this as well.  Call around, you might pay between $50-75 for a treatment.  

Youll be surprised by how effective a few needles and an herbal formula can relieve your situation.  

Rest and take some warm fluids/tea in. Take a warm bath.

if you do Goto the ER, when they give you the bill ask for a cash discount.  You don't have to pay all upfront but if you pay in cash then you'll pay significantly less.

Thank you for your responses . I finally went to urgent care I just couldn't take the pain this morning !!she said it looked like a bad outbreak but did a swab to make sure and prescribed me valtrex she said I should start to feel better in 24-48 hours

I hope it does start to heal quickly now. Be sure to ask what type HSV it is if they find the swab to be positive. If they say it wasn't typed then insist on the sample being typed.

That would be unusual if the sore was 'fresh'. This would suggest that this being something other than herpes remains a possibility.

I had some questions before:

Can you describe the sores?

Have you had oral sex since the time you describe?

I get pain all over,  I  also have it on my face. It feels like a bad sun burn when it's  real bad. The only thing that calms  it down is fruit of the earth aloe gel.  Can't seem to get a break from outbreaks.

      I have not found a cheaper source for Amenalief, and I've searched high and low. I have a thread called "Pritelivir at Last" you may want to follow as I have a strong belief that It may be available to the public in the summer of 2024 and as I find new info, I update the thread immediately. Now, may I suggest a combination of drugs that several others on this forum have found to be very effective over acyclovir alone? Myself and others have found that taking 40mg of omeprazole (Tagamet @dissolvedo2 ) with 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the morning and 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the evening alone for 3 days have had profound effectiveness at stopping outbreaks in their tracks. I'd like to remind you that I am not a doctor and at best I am personal researcher for what works for me. I @lw@ys share my findings with the forum in the hopes to help others alleviate their suffering. There is another drug combo that I have tried myself as well as others on this forum have tried and that I personally feel is a much more effective for myself. This combo is 1 gram of activated charcoal with 1-gram of valacyclovir in the morning followed by 1 gram of valacyclovir in the evening alone, again for 3 days. I have found that this has reduced my outbreaks to almost only once a year and they are mild at worse. Again, just a reminder that this works for me and may not work for you but I always feel that i have to share this with anyone that cannot get this virus under control so I hope my findings can help those of you who cannot achieve relief with the standard treatment alone. The stronger anti-virals come with risks and if I can help anyone avoid those risks then by all means I feel I have done some good in this world. I only ask that you let me know if either of these suggestions work for you so that I can document it in my notes. Good luck my friend!

      Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

      Been a few weeks it went away but reappeared again tiny red marks not raised spots or anything no pain or itching ,I have had all negative tests on Sti's ..
