Will I ever feel normal

This herpes thing is new to me I'm still on my first week of my first outbreak.. but it's hard to believe my vagina will ever look or feel the same again .. I can't believe all the things I took for granted that I could do normally before this happened to me.. I can't even walk normally right now .. and going to the bathroom gives me so much anxiety because I know it's going to hurt soo bad. I have to be careful with every move I make cause one wrong move can bring so much pain.. this is really truly the worst pain I've ever felt and it's constant there doesn't seem to be anytime it doesn't hurt. Im on my 5th day of my breakout but just got a prescription for valtrex and am 2 pills in .. I am hoping they start working soon and that eventually my vagina will look and feel normal again !

Usually first ob is the worst, but it will get better in time as your body is developing the antibody. Just hang on to this for the first few weeks, I'm sure it will get better. Good thing you take the antiviral, try apply some essential oil on the lessions like coconut oil.

Sorry to hear you are suffering. Not sure where you are but can you find a product from Unda Seroyal called Calendula Cream? You should find it offers much needed relief. The first OB is definitely the worst. If you have an experienced Master Herbalist, Naturopathic Doctor (ND) or Chinese Acupunture/Herbalist in your area they may offer you valuable help. They treat the whole person not just the dis-ease. That helps the body not just the symptoms!

Epsom Salt baths with lavender Essential Oil, Peppermint/Spearmint EO, Lemon Balm EO. Put the EO on the epsom salt first then into the bath water. Not too hot. Tea Tree EO in Coconut Oil applied to sores may help as well as the other EO's I mentioned.  Up to 12 drops for 1 cup Epsom Salts but check out proportions online. Not 12 drops of each, total of 12.  If you use more you could feel very weak. I know, I tried, almost passed out! More is not better with EO's they must be respected.

I use Oil of Oregano capsules at first indication of illness or OB and the antivirals in that help kick viral ass. Others use Olive Leaf Extract with success but I have no idea if they are contraindicated with the antiviral meds you are on so do research that too. I am not a medical professional just one dealing with what you are for 35yrs and feel your pain and want to offer anything I know has helped me.

You may want to look up Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for pain. I truly hope you find relief quickly. There is no quick fix but everything you do for yourself will help!

Most likely you will feel normal again, but it depends on what you mean by normal. Most people get occasional symptoms and occasional outbreaks.

Although, TONS of people have fairly consistent nerve pain to varying degrees. So there is a very good chance you will indeed never feel normal.

ANd I am sorry to say your vagina indeed will never look the same :(

At least it's not so obvious like it might be for a male. I am not pristine and perfect like I once was, but no one has ever noticed. Most peoples junk is kinda weird anyway, a little HPV scarring and disfiguration is not really noticeable by anyone. Not even doctors! So don't worry too much about it.

Rosebud I was looking into this product you mentioned and it is recommended for cold sores only and I wondered if You use this on Your genitals. Seems a bit harsh for that.

I haven't tried Dynamiclear but I was really impressed with the herbs they used in formulating the ointment.   At the same time, it is uncomfortably overpriced.

My first sore, a friend bought me Super Lysine Plus Cold Sore ointment.  It was good and deflated it and made my lips look normal again.   I like it because it's mild and nourishing.

But I had another outbreak and the Super Lysine wouldn't seem to get it as it did in the beginning.

I had bought a salve/balm called Lemon Balm Salve by WiseWays Herbals ($10 on amazon...).  Holy cow, this stuff is so powerfully legit.   For $10 it's worth just stocking.

Here are the ingredients.

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
