Hello everyone… nice to meet you all…

Ugh… haven’t been tested yet and I suppose an “Unhealthy” dose of denial, finally coming to terms, that and the blatant sores on the lip and umm blah sucks… still having my first outbreak… not so bad so far (know I just JYNX’D myself 4life ><)… doesn’t hurt so bad… not compared to the pain of my girl not telling me and then running off *sigh*... didn’t even get the chance to say I didn’t blame her but anyhoo ; ;

Eh sorry just feeling down… and thought I’d try something more positive then dreading my newly acquired (and most unwelcome) friend lol…

So how’s everyone else doing ^^

sorry to hear about your situation. shame on your gf for not telling and then running; maybe somebody who is no good for you anyway. It is always painful in the beginning, mentally and physically. this forum will give you lots of information and support; hang in there.

Lip sores don't sound that bad and if you happen to have hsv2 on your mouth your shouldn't even worry outbreaks usally don't happen. Sucks for the first time though but everyone here will support you best we can if you need us. Good luck on getting tested.

I have known my gf for a long time but I've been seeing her for about a week. She has told me that she has herpes.

I've always been careful with sex but feel I'm out of my depth and not knowing what I'm getting into.

I'm not about to bail on her as judging people is not my idea of a relationship.

I know there are risks involved but I'm concerned with the link the encaphelitis.

My brother was out of action for months at a time for four years as a result of suspected encaphelitis.

I saw what it did to him and it scares me.

What I need is some good advise and some hard facts.

She's the first person I've felt serious about for a long time and I don't want to make any mistakes.

Can someone please put my mind at ease that I'm not jumping into quicksand.

She really is great and doesn't deserve to be judged or stigmatised.

Thats a great attitude to have. She is very lucky to have someone like you. I am like you in many ways I have a gf that is hsv2 positive as well. I date her and have unprotected sex with her willingly knowing what could happen. If there is love it always wins over all odds.

      Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

      So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

      To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
