Crazy ride started in December. May lose the love of my life. He's trying but no sex or a real kiss since the first of December. We love each other but this is making me crazy. I've ran 3 times since. Can't take the rejection. And somehow he feels rejected.... I'll be 40 in a few weeks. Good job I hate. Basically healthy and loved by many. Feel dirty as hell. And like less of a woman.

This doesn't sound good! No real need for herpes to make anyone feel like this. What is going on? Do either of you have an issue with herpes?

It would appear that I may have it. I honestly don't wanna go into the do I/don't I of it. If so, I believe the cheating ex husband did this. I met this wonderful man in July. We just fit. A dr told me after the divorce that I tested very low for HSV 2 antibodies. But, in my twenties I had the most horrific OBs on my nose. I mean, my nose looked like a meat grinder got it. So dr said... "It's not genital Bc you've never had symptoms." That was 2 years ago. 6 weeks after sex with new guy.... Something popped up. I freaked. Had a swab apparently might have been too late. Came back negative. Guy says he's been tested Bc he has Lyme and he's clean. Says he was tested again a month ago. Still negative. I've explained it's not standard testing. Unbeknownst to him, I called his clinic. Nope. They dont test for herpes unless Dr says. He says he specified. I do believe though, that he is so scared that he would go the "ignorance is bliss" route. This is tearing us apart. And we love each other

Hmmm I don't understand. As my old dad used to say "is there a cow in the ditch or not"!

There is no real evidence here that you have HSV-2. Your nose affliction would not be HSV-2. His status is unknown.

Coming back to that ditch, either you want to know or you don't, either is acceptable. Why is that tearing you apart. I doubt it is, are you sure this is a cover for other issues?

I had another small almost painless group of about 3 blisters 2 weeks, ago. Along with the pinching pain in my buttock. The test 2 years ago was low, but still a positive.

Yes but is there a cow in the ditch? Just mutually test with your current partner for all STDs including HSV.

      Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

      Hey @WilsoInAus miałam dzisiaj wizytę u dermatologa, gdyż dostałam zmian w pachwinie, w trakcie wakacji nad morzem. Udałam sie tam ze zmianami w postaci strupów. Powiedział ze nie można wykluczyć opryszczki mimo negatywnego wyniku Hsv igg i zalecił wymaz z pochwy na Hsv i inne choroby. Wytłumaczyłam mu że zmiany zamieniają się w strup, ale nie ma w nich płynu, więc zalecił badanie śluzu pochwy na hsv PCR, zastanawiam się czy ma to sens, i czy wirusa można wykryć na podstawie tego badania w wydzielin z szyjki macicy. Z góry dziekuje za pomoc
