There are so many labs working on this right now.  in a few months to the end of this year, cullen/bloom should have results on their animal testing.

IF results looked good and a bunch of people were gung-ho in getting involved then I wouldn't mind delving into it.

There's a lot of unknowns that I think will be further clarified by the end of this year, if not within the next few months.

The sooner the better. Always been shy and now I am old and not sure why, but have a bunch of 20 plus year olds throwing themselves at me, though I prefer someone 40 to 50! Guess losing 35 lbs and working out can change one's image. Still weird, think it is because girls like what they can't have. Keep saying no, for their good! Would never want to pass this on! Celibate for 6 years now!

Hope Cullen and Bloom actually do it this year. Been reading about them for at least the last 4-6 years. They have been moving very very very slowly. Kind of like Halfrod live vaccine. That was mentioned 10 years ago......

seems like this halford is doing absolutly nothing from what it looks like. wish companys would interact on these forums like genocea has time to time would be good to see actual info instead of guesses from people on here.

Myself and someone else are interested in this. We've been talking about it for months. We have a description for a position to help find a scientist. If you seriously think we can pull this off then send me your email in my inbox and I will pass it on. Like a lot of people, I want a now and not 10+ years or even two years from now. And @mcmich it's been two years of being celibate for me.

Halford and the Cullen/Bloom collaboration are quite different.  While I won't get too into what Halford is doing, the lack of support by both pharma and the scientific community have drastically slowed his progress down - this is regardless of whether or not his vaccine would work.  The only true way to know would be to try and he's had nothing but an uphill battle.

Cullen/Bloom on the other hand have moved decently fast, especially for a technology (CRISPR) which had only been tested in human cells in 2012.  I would attribute their present success to their knowledge of HSV from TALEN and anti-HSV ribosomes.  Without their experience from the previous gene-editing technology I doubt they'd be where they are (animal trials) with the sponsorship they have (Editas).

From my limited understanding, Cullen/Bloom seem to be doing everything right with CRISPR.  They have overcame hurdles with respect to an efficient Cas9 gene, its packing size, guide RNA and an AAV vector which has shown promise in other animal studies using CRISPR.  Now it's a waiting game - they've treated lab rats right now and hopefully we'll know something by the end of summer.

I love your enthusiasm and I love the effort you made with Draco. Your Crispr idea seems insane; I love it. Keep us posted on the progress you make recruiting a scientist to explore this endeavor. I'm also curious as to what the initial costs may be. Again keep us posted or PM me. Thanks.

Thanks. My enthusiasm comes and goes. I'm more depressed than anything but I'm the type of person that can't cause anyone pain or make them suffer so the only way I will ever get what I want in life (which is to get married and give my kids a family) is to be cured of this.

There are some great minds at work looking at both vaccine and gene editing technology.  These aren't just theories, there are multiple clinical trials ongoing with other researchers working towards clinical trials.  Rome wasn't built in a day and patience is important.  Keep yourself busy with other productive means while you wait.  And don't stop living your life; there are herpes dating websites out there and various support groups to bring people together.

There are people who have much bigger hurdles than herpes to overcome who live full, happy lives.  Herpes ain't great, but its ability to put a damper on your own life is fully up to you and how you choose to move forward (or don't).  You (and everyone else) only have a finite number of years on this earth, how you choose to live them is up to you.

Just another set of supporting articles to a potential release date in 2024 giving hope to sufferers whom the standard of care is currently worthless: Promising Progress in clinical trials for Pritelivir (herpescureadvocacy.com) HSV Treatment Readies for Approval — Precision Vaccinations News

I have not found a cheaper source for Amenalief, and I've searched high and low. I have a thread called "Pritelivir at Last" you may want to follow as I have a strong belief that It may be available to the public in the summer of 2024 and as I find new info, I update the thread immediately. Now, may I suggest a combination of drugs that several others on this forum have found to be very effective over acyclovir alone? Myself and others have found that taking 40mg of omeprazole (Tagamet @dissolvedo2 ) with 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the morning and 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the evening alone for 3 days have had profound effectiveness at stopping outbreaks in their tracks. I'd like to remind you that I am not a doctor and at best I am personal researcher for what works for me. I @lw@ys share my findings with the forum in the hopes to help others alleviate their suffering. There is another drug combo that I have tried myself as well as others on this forum have tried and that I personally feel is a much more effective for myself. This combo is 1 gram of activated charcoal with 1-gram of valacyclovir in the morning followed by 1 gram of valacyclovir in the evening alone, again for 3 days. I have found that this has reduced my outbreaks to almost only once a year and they are mild at worse. Again, just a reminder that this works for me and may not work for you but I always feel that i have to share this with anyone that cannot get this virus under control so I hope my findings can help those of you who cannot achieve relief with the standard treatment alone. The stronger anti-virals come with risks and if I can help anyone avoid those risks then by all means I feel I have done some good in this world. I only ask that you let me know if either of these suggestions work for you so that I can document it in my notes. Good luck my friend!

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti
