i need help

hi everyone. i need some positive thinking. i'm so scared, i don't know if i have it or not. i do have bumps, but i have no symptoms for herpes, which leads me to believe that it could be something else. i know i need to go to a doctor, but i am so emabarassed and so scared beyond belief. it's affecting my thinking..and everything. its all i think about like alllll day long. i'm okay with it for like 5 minutes, then i think about it again and i get all freaked out. i can't deal with this. this is the only place for me let everything off my chest, because i've never told ANYONE about this. the thing that really sucks is that the last guy i slept with was a completly random hook-up, but we did use protection. so in a way, it decreases the chance of it being an STD, right?.. i just feel so gross. and i'm so afraid of disappointing my parents and my family and friends. thats the last thing i wanna do. any postive responses are appreciated. :(:(

Hey girl....... :D

Yes.. seems like you've been just thinking of this for a long time, huh? <smile>

But objectively, your situation is nothing scary at all... believe me. It's just your (powerful :o )imagination that scares you and makes you feel gross..

As you know.. no one can "make" you go see a doctor.

I see you fear a lot.. But you just have to do it anyway. Otherwise, before any disease can make you sick, you're making yourself sick..

You punished yourself more than enough already. It's time to treat yourself well.

I don't think you can just forget about it.. right? So only thing that will make you relieved is to call a doctor, make an appointment, drag your body to the doctor :D. Then your job will be done. The doctor will take care of the rest. And.. mostlikely, it'll be just some kind of zits or something.....

Go see a doctor. You'll feel relieved..

...That's what I know. <smile>

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
