I have HSV 2 on my outer thigh, and my OB's have gotten worse. I've had 4 OB's in the last 2 years, which isn't frequent but the OB's have gotten larger and more painful. I also get flu-like symptoms with each OB and neuropathy almost every two months.
@Souji. From what I understand, it is possible and there are people that have experienced this but it is definitely rare. If you have swabbed (typed) positive, the chances of a false positive are extremely rare (never say never of course!). The vast majority of people will develop antibodies. Not sure if there are any studies about who may not and why.
You may find more frequent OBs in the first months - up to a year - while your body is building its defense. Hopefully your body will be able to do a good job mostly keeping it latent and your OBs will settle down a great deal after that.
