"Tanted with Herpes"...

Black Diamond

Recommended Posts

I cheated on my lover of 4 years. Thinking I was doing the right thing to protect the 2 of us, I went and had a pelvic with blood work for all STD's. This was my first visit to this OBGYN as my old one moved out of the country. My pelvic was normal. I was given antibiotics for the "just in case factor." After the 10 day course of meds...the swelling/itching began. HURT OMG!!! MY POOR "GOODIES" WERE BEING TURNED INSIDE OUT. 2 tubes of Monostat 1+3 with not much releif. Tube number 3. Then the blood work...Everything was negative, except for my HSV1+2 both positive. Given Valtrex to take/or not. "Tanted" with Herpes...I was written off and everything was an OB. I ordered Quick-Clear w/spray on line and began taking that...NO RELEIF-OMG!!! Scared/Sickly-physically, emotionally & mentally...returned cryin' finding my MD out of town. Seeing anyone who would take me. Another pelvic with culture this time. More cream+Valtrex. 2 days later no test results/pelvic (my MD)Herpe OB...another...2 days later no test results/another pelvic (my MD-Herpe OB). In all 17 days have went by...4 tubes of cream and 4 pelvic's...and now my turned inside-out "goodies", spitten out green stuff...so I call...The Herpe culture was "Negative"!!! (and they never bothered to call to tell me.) Turned out to be Bacterial Vaginous. Not that that's much better. A tube of cream and I had "total releif in 30 minutes". No I'm sorry we screw-up! just a cold reminder that "it didn't matter you STILL have Herpes". In the last couple of days a sore did develop near my tail bone about the size of a dime. It didn'/don't hurt found it by accident during one of my hourly checks. Put some bleach-water on it, now it's gone. Might not be the best idea but it worked for me!! I want a new doctor and havn't had any luck finding one in my search. Where do I find a Herpe Specialist in the state of Ohio? All comment/suggestion greatly apperciated.

I have the "clueless" look on my face right now. Are you saying that you have HSV or not b/c at one point you said "HSV1+2 both positive" but then you said "The Herpe culture was 'Negative'" but then you said "it didn't matter you STILL have Herpes". So are you saying that your blood work confirms that you have it but your culture came back negative?

I don't know what comments or suggestions you're looking for because it was hard to make out what points you were making/questions you were asking. Sorry..

I guess I mean...I was told by my doctor that my blood test was positive for both HSV 1 and 2. When Symptons appeared he wouldn't treat me, because he said it was a Herpe Out Break, there was nothing he could do. When I couldn't stand the pain anymore, I saw another OBGYN from the same office. He took a Herpe culture and the result was negative. My MD missdiagnosed my condition! It was a treatable bacterial infection not a Herpe OB. Just because your HSV 1+2 positive...doesn't always mean that every little thing going on with your "goodies" is a Herpe Out Break. Either this MD doesn't know what he's doing or he doesn't care to treat people with this infliction. So I was seeking any information on a Herpe specialist some where in Ohio. If Herpe specialist isn't right...what are they called?

To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
