hi, i am very thankful for finding this forum, you guys are awesome !

this is my 5th day after having a drunken unprotected sexual encounter, and these cuts appeared after 2 days. they started like bumps and i applied bacitracin. they don't sting, they don't hurt.  i looked for similar pictures online and nothing resembling papercuts appeared. could this be herpes?

I will let the smarter people answer.  I would get it swabbed.  No test, no sex.  I dont drink before first sex, either.  Then if we decide we like each other and are an "item" I get her tipsy if possible!!!!  Yes.  Yes, I do...  When my ltr called me out, I grinned.  2 drinks was perfect, 3 ok.  Anything more was too drunk!!!

Don't be too tough on yourself.  If rough and unlubbed, it could just be bad tears and a little staph.  Again, I will let others opine that are smarter.

thank you.  it does not hurt at all.  i only had a cut like this when i had candida from an antibiotic treatment and the cut appeared right in the split where the labia majoras start, that was very painful but these do not hurt at all.

Yeah.  I am no expert but one thing I did when paranoid was take a cup w me to the shower.  Pee in it and pour it over the red spots.  If no pain, good sign.  Still....  Wait for lisajd or somebody smarter than me.  No pain is a good sign.  Anylabtestnow.com is 49 bucks for igg hsv1 and 2 test

My ghsv1 sores looked like that, very similar to the smaller ones in your pics. No pain with mine either. Sorry if this adds to your worries, just want to be honest. A lot of people's symptoms don't present as 'typical.'

My first GHSV1 outbreak was similar. I had these cuts a bit more internally, as well as weird lesions around. It looked nothing like the photos online but my swab at the doctors came back positive for HSV1. It's six weeks later and I feel like I may be experiencing my second outbreak. I didn't feel discomfort (except painful peeing) till a few days after the outbreak it eventually felt itchy and painful and super uncomfortable.

You can get prescription for cream and medication that will help it clear up quicker.

If you have any personal Q's let me know and I hope you have a quick recovery and don't see any outbreaks again!

The smaller ones look like it could be herpes, but the long slash marks don't at all. The last image you posted looks almost like there is something metallic in your labia, although it could just be a reflection.

Just curious are your lymph nodes in your hip/groin enlarged? Fighting an infection they should be. Also, if it is a virus, you should get some kind of flu like symptoms...

Sorry if it's been answered, did those cuts appear right after sex (next day) or was it in five days they appeared?

The lymphs are not enlarged. The metallic thingy is my piercing hoop but that is comfy.. i doubt that caused the wounds. I have noticed the tiny pecks skin coloured the next day after sex, on the  4th day i shaved, and on the 5th day it was red like in my first pics. My doc app is in 8h.

P s : the only symptom i had earlier was lack of appetite, fatigue and a knot in my throat but that is my usual reaction when i have a panic attack and i am soooo stresssed about this issue.

Ok i had 2 gyn and 1 dermatologyst check me out with a wood lamp and dermatoscope, they took swab but they said that they are 90% positive it's just friction and razor trauma.

On a less bright note.. i got an ultrasound and my Paragard IUD dislodged downwards so they took it out and inserted a new one. Maaaaaaaan that hurt like hell.. i thought i had flashbacks with my deceased relatives it was so bad.  Why didn't she just poke it in to go up back instead? Costed me another 200 for that FML

  • 5 months later...

Hi Hreidmarr92,

i just wanted to see how you are doing several months on? I've been searching around the forums because your exposure and OB sounds exactly like mine.

I'm curious to see what your results were down the road. Please let me know, thank you!

I’m going to force him to get tested ! Thanks for your help !

@EssenceL25 there really isn't a question mark around the source, it's your latest partner. The median time from infection to an outbreak of lesions upon initial infection is 4 days.  The only thing that isn't certain is the type I suggest.
    • EssenceL25
I asked if it was hsv 1 or 2 and the doctor said it was Hsv2. I’m not sure i just asked him when he was tested last he said this year I said I think we should go test together and he agreed . I’m going to bring it up again cause I really need to know if he gave this to me I wasn’t sure since it was so close to my previous relationship.

@EssenceL25 then it is all beyond reasonable doubt that the current partner is the source. A 'perfect' fit in terms of timing, symptoms and swab. It may be though that the type is not technically known. Culture swabs are very often not typed and just assumed to be HSV-2 if taken from a genital location. If you received oral sex in the days leading into 7 March then it is 50/50 as to whether this is HSV-1 or HSV-2. You could contact your doctor and confirm if the swab was actually typed (which is a second test where fluorescent antibodies for HSV-1 and HSV-2 are added and see which one 'glows').  If that test wasn't done then you do not know type. If you have oral HSV-1 yourself (cold sores) then this will be HSV-2. Does your partner have oral HSV-1? It is somewhat strange for him not to rush and test - many people have a 'reaction' if they truly do not know their status and have concerns that you infected them etc. (not initially rational of course). This indicates he may know his status - or maybe he just isn't simply the sharpest tool in the shed!?

I had flu like symptoms and ulcers on my vagina . They did a culture and I tested positive for hsv2. I asked my partner to get tested he agreed but I’m not sure if he will cause he hasn’t said anything else about it.
