Honestly to me this isn't the main priority. There are ways around the pregnancy issue- it's called a C section

What there ISN'T a way around is sex. This basic human need is denied to us. It is 2017 and there is NO safe way for any of us to have sex. There is NO peace of mind, we could be contagious at ANY time. There is no workaround and no amount of pills/condoms to allow us to EVER have truly enjoyable, spntaneous sex.

That is the true tradgedy. There are alot of fat greedy bastards in power who don't care. Also alot of "smart" scientists who have the creativity/minds of neanderthals

So sex isn't part of being human? Maybe they've gotten to you. You clearly lack empathy and understanding. It is 2017 and there SHOULD be at least a way for safe sex. We should be at least at the point of 1 or 2 shots a year and you're good-to-go.

A referencia de que millones se infectan cada año ya sea recién nacidos o adultos y tengan HSV genital, HSV oral, HSV neonatal HSV ocular, etc. quiere decir que se necesita una cura pero a la  FDA la ONU y el sector salud Mundial no les importa este virus sólo existen investigaciónes pero no hay nada nuevo nada.

Why can't you have spontanious loving sex... with having HSV... having one does NOT preclude the other

I hope am reading this right an am not taking this comment out of context......Maybe because we don't want to a give woman from a spontanious loving sex experience a lifetime of itchy,blister fill,vaginal odor discharge etc future to a lovely lady.

With a condom on, the shedding or ob could be on the male balls,inner creases of thighs,on the legs itself,pubic hair area or buttocks.so UNLESS your gonna wrap the lower half of your body in saran wrap with a condom on.we are at risk of passing this virus at any giving moment 

And valtrex doesn't work for everyone so lowering the transmission for some is none existent

Exactly. I wish some people on here would take their heads out of the clouds on hsv. No one wants to be infected with a std with no cure and where some people have such painful symptoms every fucking day.  Who the hell are we all kidding. ?

There are also cases like mine in which I can't have sex without it causes horrible nerve pain in my vulva. I know it's TMI but I can't even use a vibrator anymore, I'm hoping over time my nerves calm down but right now anything I do sexually causes a OB wuth extreme pain two days later. I'm praying we get something that helps all of us. I want o get married so badly and right now I'm stuck waiting for better HSV treatments to come, it sucks .

Hey I've had H for almost 7 months now. What about you? I'm on daily Valtrex, Olive Leaf Extract, Lysine, Vitamin C and Amitriplyn for nerve pain. Praying this get easier.

And Either some ppl are extremely delusional or am starting to believe ppl that say strange things like u can still live a normal life sexually all need to do is disclose they are paid trolls from the pharmaceutical companies that are sent here and to other hsv forums to convince us all hsv is not that bad just buy and take your pills and creams it will be ok.while u convince yourself its cool to still have sex while continuing a cycle of new infections and new paying customers that need pills and creams to get through the day.

A vaccine and cure is long overdue. However, the biggest factor that plays into the spread of HSV is lack of education - not people "convincing themselves" about their ability to remain sexual while affected by HSV. There has been no problem with HSV+ individuals' sexuality for thousands of years now. Fear-mongering with negativity about sexuality really doesn't help anyone on here.
