Unusual internal symptoms females help??

Hey all,

Wondering if there are any ladies out there who have found it permanently painful to have sex due to inflammation of the cervix. How about discharge that doesn't go away?

These are some of my worst fears lately and they have been really vexing me, despite telling myself its going to get better. I'm worried about future relationships, my ability to have sex, etc.

I got past the original complications of burning and itching that I got when I first got diagnosed about 6 months ago. I thought THAT would never go away but to my supreme relief it did. I never had any of the classic skin outbreak symptoms  but I did experience increased discharge which never left and is driving me crazy.. I've also had issues with abdominal pressure and menstrual like cramps.

They have gotten worse this past month. I went to several gynocologists to see about potential herpes-related cervicitis. One looked and said she saw no outbreaks or signs of inflammation, but did see a spot of irritation on the endothelium on my cervix that could have caused some brownish discharge which has happened a couple times to me since being diagnosed (spotting?). She said this was "normal" but not so sure I trust this definition from doctors these days. The other gyno said my cervix looked like one of someone who has been on birth control. I don't know what this means. I should have asked. She placed me on antifungal for yeast (even though I didn't have yeast in the test, she said the tests don't always work) and also birth control, in case hormones could correct the problem (seems counterintuitive but I'm willing to try anything).

Well, the cramps have just started getting worse and it even hurts when I move around. The discharge is getting worse now too. The gynos assured me it was okay to have sex, and I have before with my longterm bf since I've gotten this virus with no complications. But this time around it was painful! And the pain throbbed even afterwards. Now I'm also having brown tinted discharge again. It feels like I should just be having my period, but maybe the hormones are stopping it.

So, for any ladies that have had cervicitis related complications, does this sound at all familiar? Did it eventually clear for any of you? Was there anything you found that helped? I am going to quit the birth control as soon as this packs up since it could be irritating the problem. But the problem still remains. I'm really hoping it corrects itself naturally like the original skin complications did but I'm worried about internal chronic damage and imbalance.

Thanks everyone for your help

I had an issue like this, however it turned out to be a very nasty bacterial infection I had been dragging around. Have they swabbed you for bacteria on the cervix?

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. The virus caused a lot of immflamuation in my body. I started takiing fish oil and hoping that helps. Maybe try that?

Yeah, I was gonna say, you may want to get tested for some other things. Above anything, you should not have a constant discharge from it. When that happened, I had a Bacterial infection. When my cervix world hurt I found out I had chlymedia. Just check to be sure!

I have been tested for yeast infections and it showed up clear.  I am still having increased discharge but less cramps. I hope it gets better over time. Thanks for your reply it means a lot really

bacterium and yeast are very different so that's why I asked if they had done any bacteria cultures, because yellowy discharge and angry angry red swollen cervix were my biggest symptoms.

Ever since I got diagnosed in 2012 I've experienced the same thing. Some months worse than others. Been tested for everything else so it can be herpes. I believe I have internal outbreaks or my body is constantly trying to outbreak therefore the constant discharge, tingles and irritation is prevalent.  I've had consistent symptoms for whole months with occasional two week break since being diagnosed. I don't have a sexual partner (have abstained since diagnosis) but I'm sure if I did, sex could make things worse. Sorry to be a debby downer but the reality is, for some women, the discharge, symptoms and irritation down there can be very regular. You'll probably not be like this but often it's the case. I find peppermint oil diluted helps and aloe vera could be a good lubricant. Just about to try L Glutamine as been recommended it by a fellow sufferer to see if this will help with symptoms. In answer to your question, yes this can be attributed to herpes.

I can relate and feel certain it is related to the HSV2.

I was diagnosed in June and I have previously been very consistent with normal symptoms around my period and when my normal cramping and bleeding would come.  Now, I am getting cramps and some irregular discharge at unusual times.  It comes for a couple hours or a full day or 2 and then, goes away.  I should also mention that it was my firs outbreak in June and although the sores healed up quickly, the strange pain/tingling/prickly/burning sensation lasted 9 weeks and was present about 85% of the time.  Thankfully, that has gotten better  (50% of time now?), but just today, the cramping and pressure is back.  It's a bit stronger than regular cramping in the way it feels, and there is also this additional heat feeling...not a burning but a sensation of heat that I have not had prior to being diagnosed.  It is an odd feeling.  Also, a little discharge (too early). I am going to keep monitoring because I am fairly certain it is related to when my progesterone is ramping up.

Also, for me, tea tree and coconut oil (mixed together and applied topically twice a day) has seemed to help the surface pain/burning a lot.  Also, I am taking Valtrex every day.  Please keep up any updates on any connections of solutions you all find with the cramping.

Oh!  One last thing!  In the area where this all began, is has become almost like a "stress-o-meter".  If I am in a stressful discussion with my husband (we are still sorting this all out), it is almost like I can feel the area acting up...almost immediately, or at least within a couple of hours.  The prickly feeling starts acting up again.  Seriously!  I know it sounds strange.  Does anyone else get this?

Omg!!! I am feeling all of this on my first OB, been spotting for a week. Reading all of these comments has me so scared that this is what it will always be like!!! And it seems like these aren’t common symptoms that people know how to treat. I tested negative for bacterial infection
