I know over the years there have been many promises for a cure/better treatment. Would you say that what is going on in the science world right now is the most promising herpes research has ever been?

I'm honestly a beginner in the herpes world. I know that there are people who are much better able to talk about it, but I see some positive points from what is revealed in the surveys. In addition to the imminence of vaccines, how gene gene searches are interesting and is the most promising treatment at the moment.
