over a month ago i went to the movie with a friend. some weird rocker/goth girls ended up approaching me and my friend and they ended up performing oral sex on both of us at the same time. about 2 days after the experience a little dot ... not really a dot, just darker pigmentation ... appeared on the right side of my penis head. the marking is still there. i also got a little sore throat/stiff neck/headache that same day. i thought it was strep throat so i took penicillin and the pain went away almost immediately. ever since i have been heavily scrutinizing myself and have found some white little spots on the right side of my penis head. they seem to go away and seem to be just in my head. some little dots (similar to the bumps found beneath the rim of the head) began to show up. they are extremely small and can only be seen if i look really hard and stretch the skin (i am not circumsised). they are extremely small and i think i have had them before. they are seeming to disappear. now i am back with a sore throat. i think it is because i slept without a shirt on. there seems to be a little bump close to my uvula. i have taken tylenol cold and my throat no longer hurts. could this be herpes?

Hi,

Sore throat is not herpes symptom.

Also... yes, you get pain in some areas in your body when you get herpes outbreak. But you don't get the pain on the day you were exposed to the virus for the first time.

I don't think you should worry.

In your case, I bet, Rich will say the same thing. (right Rich? :D )

Don't worry....

Faith

P.S. But if you start getting pain or sore there, go see a doctor, ok?

thanks a lot. i have just been frantic about it. i have yet to have no pain down there and the little spot seems harmless. the white spots i have done research and it seems to deal with sabaceous glands on the penis ... thanks for your reply, and this has been a valuable lesson. i will be much more careful now sexual wise

Are the bumps (white dots) you see on the rim of your penis head, like underneath almost? Cause those white dots are normal, some men have em, some don't... Weird how they disappear though... Anyways, you don't have herpes, symptoms rarly appear and disappear like you've described... Don't worry bout it and read my article, Everyone should read this article 2 located on the top of the page... It will inform you about future confrontations with this disease..

Rich

Keep your shit real, STDs are every where...

Herpes

You might not have herpes but you never know. You have to test tested to know for sure and with herpes thats not even certain. Get tested for other STD's as well since they can be transmitted through oral sex or contact. Chlamydia is a suspect because I know from experience.

Stay well and learn from this experience. Life is precious. Don't waste it. Play life smart.

HPV

No, it is very possible to contract genital warts through oral contact. You just never know when it might happen. Thats why you have to be careful and always use protection.

I would go see a Doctor. I don't know if you would believe this but you put yourself in more pain thinking about it over and over non-stop before finding out the answer. Of Course, if that's what it is you will be in some pain. But self inflicting the pain is worse. Your brain works in mysterious ways and many of these symptoms you are describing could just be all made up or from stress. Not made up as in you're lying but made up as in your brain can do some crazy stuff.

When you are infected with any virus your body starts to fight it off. While fighting off this one virus, the rest of your body could be subject to another infection. Any type of sickness could be associated with the Herpes virus though it's not a direct symptom. Your body is really busy the first couple of weeks after infection..... it's concentrating very hard on winning the battle against HSV. Other infections definitly can take over. That's why some people have flu like symptoms but everyones' not limited to only that.

I had strep throat twice in the first 4 weeks of being infected. After two months of battling sickness (sinus type issues) and swollen glands, my doctor finally let me know that my body was probably just fighting a virus and no medicine could help. No fever, just swollen glands, sore throat, cough, and nasal problems.

I didn't find out until 6 months later that I had HSV because I had no symptoms down yonder until that time. Actually, my only symptom for HSV has been tingling and pain. I've had no sores that are visible to myself or my doctor.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that everyone is different. Of course there are documents out there on the internet that list what the symptoms are but they're not the same for everyone. You can have any type of sickness and it could lead to you having a brain tumor......... same for HSV....any type of sickness within the first couple of weeks of being infected could be associated with HSV.

It usually starts a few days before an outbreak appears.

It usually stops when the outbreal appears.

Some people experience sensitiveness on the surface of your skin, some people experience more like pain...

But really... it depends on the person, and sometimes you don't even have tingling. Or just tingle and nothing(outbreak) follows...

oh interesting ... about 2 weeks ago i felt this weird feeling down there ... but it felt like it was in the inside of my penis. i could not really find out exactly where the sensation was. i would poke everywhere, squeeze everywhere and it didn't hurt. i am uncircumsised and it would hurt sometimes when i stroke it, but not while masterbating. it would also hurt a little if i just grind my hand against it when wearing jeans. i stopped thinking about it and the feeling has seemed to go away. this was also when i noticed some microscopic clustered bumps on my shaft. they are really small, kind of like a whitehead but not really ... :(

Yeah, this sounds suspicious.... Your whole description really... If the head of the bumps is more 'clear-ish' then whitehead-ish, I would be really concerned.

Hoping for the best, but I'd do the dr thing...

yeah thanks mc37 pilot. to be honest with you they are so small i can't even distinct the color. they do not seem clear at all tho. seem like tiny little white heads. i am uncircumsized and when i pull the skin down a little i can see 2 whiteish dots. when i stretch out the skin i can see several microscopic dots that cluster to form the visible bumps. they do not hurt, itch, or seem irritated. i have played with them and tried to pop them and even then do they seem irritated and turn red. i had slight pain but it was only sporadic soft pain, nothing excrutiating. i am not really worried about them and think i have herpes with all the research i have done. nothing seems to match, but again i might never know. i am going to the drs this weekend, hopefully i will come out negative. the visible little bumps have been there for about 2 weeks ... they have not gotten bigger and have seemed to spread a little bit. nothhing too noticeable. if you were to look at my penis you wouldn't notice them, you woulld have to stretch out the skin and look carefully. not too noticeable ... does it sound like herpes to you?
