Just got herpes ...again. Grieving, sharing my experience.

I've been getting screened for HSV 1&2 for more than 10 years.  7 years ago I had my first outbreak and was diagnosed via a swab with genital HSV1.  A couple of years later I got my first oral outbreak and continued to have negative blood tests for HSV2.  One of my partners' partners was recently diagnosed with oral HSV2 but it sounded like she got it after the last time he saw or had contact with her, but my partner and I ceased contact anyway so that he could get tested again after 3 months. I have had an outbreak since then but it looked, felt, and was located in the same place as, all the outbreaks I've ever had.  It was very mild, only 3 sores, and on the same side (front, right) as it usually is.  I get them maybe once a year.  Since I had a yearly dermatologist appointment scheduled anyway, I asked them to swab the sores to verify that it's still just HSV1 and explained my possible exposure. I got the call two days ago that it is type 2.

My partner still has never had any symptoms but the simplest explanation is that he gave it to me. I've disclosed to my other partners and they mostly took it really well.  Emotionally, I've been grieving. It took some time to realize that's what I'm feeling.  I've been through this before.  I've disclosed to many people since my first diagnosis with mostly good results.  Part of me is relieved that I don't have to explain what it means to have genital HSV-1.  But it's still hard to accept that after so many years of trying to avoid it, I got herpes anyway.

Make sure the swab was typed properly. Ask the doctor for sure that the immunofluorescence test on the culture sample.

I got the paper results today.  It says "monoclonal antibody microscopic immunofluorescence."  So there goes that.  I'm glad I kind of forced myself to accept it despite the tiny bit of doubt.

      Hi fam,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could provide any input to what my photos might indicate.
Long story short, I received oral from my girlfriend on Aug 16th and noticed first symptoms of pain in penis area on Aug 18th. We also had protected sex.
The very first symptom I noticed was burning sensation in my urethra only 2 days after the sex. Today is Aug 20th and I still have that sensation (it feels worse when I masturbate/ejaculate). Other current symptoms: dull lower abdominal pain and loose stool (not necessarily diarrhea).
The thing that alarms me most are these extremely tiny little bubbles that I'm pretty sure were never there before. I'm not sure if this is early onset herpes or something else. Right now, I think signs are pointing to Chlamydia/Gonorrhea but I also know that genital herpes can show almost no symptoms at all. The weird thing is when my penis is erect, the bubbles smooth out for the most part (I don't have any other lesions/sores/pimples on the rest of my body).
I would be grateful for any input at all. I'm so anxious right now but also thankful for a forum like this because we can share all of our problems together. We're not alone.
Fortunately, I just got a full battery of tests completed and should be receiving the results back this week so I won't be guessing for much longer.
      Thank you so much...

So I made it to month four without a visible sign of an outbreak. I had a really bad outbreak in the ending of April and was diagnosed with GHSV1. My initial outbreak took about a month to heal and left scars (a lighter pigmentation from my overall complexion on my genitals). Sadly I have been ridiculously paranoid to the point I have taken two 7 day treatments of Valtrex. More than likely it was probably just yeast infections (I get them way more than I should, even before getting hsv). I also take lysine twice a day and three times a day when I feel like an outbreak is coming on. I’ve been applying tea tree to my genitals everyday since getting diagnosed to dry out any potential outbreaks that are present that I possibly mistake for an ingrown hair. When does the worrying stop? How often have anyone on this forum with GHSV1 get outbreaks? What’s are some good tips and tricks?

Hi guys, this is my first post but honestly i´ve been lurking around for a while (lol ikr)
      Lets get to it.
I had unprotected sex with a friend, she claims she´s clean and two months later i noticed this in my pubic area.
No itching, no pain, no flu simptoms just these lil fuckers (sorry for coursing)
I went to the doctor and he claims thats not HSV2 but i live in south america and honestly i dont trust doctors, i made another appointment with another doctow this week. Also i had blood test done and it came out negative, but im waiting to the 13 week to be sure.
Im extremely paranoid and anxious about STD´s so u can imagine im dying over here.
Its been around 5 days that hey appeared and havent changed, like i mean they havent became ulcers or crust.
Sorry if my English is kind of sloppy its not my native language.
I really would love to have an idea of what this is or could be, and what to expect if its HSV2.
Im currently dating a girl and i told her about this so were not having sex until im sure i dont have anything, honetly im getting really paranoid.

June 3rd I may of been exposed to Herpes.
Performed oral and vaginal sex with a one night stand.  A few days later, "felt off" and got tested on the 7th (negative for all stds, but not tested for herpes)
Took a round of Doxycycline the following week around the 14th for a few days as I was feeling extremely Hot and urinating frequently.  It seemed to help for an instant, however still feeling off.
Tested again n the 28th - Negative for all stds including HSV igg however positive for HSV igm with an index of 1.14 (Positive being anything greater than 1.1) *approximately 26 days after suspected exposure
Dr. prescribed Valacyclovir 2x day.  Started taking medication July 2nd.
Pain and discomfort in the penis continuing.  With sensations in the pelvic area and kidneys.
Tested again on July 20th - Negative for all stds and HSV igg/igm.
Tested again August 6th - Negative for all stds and HSV igg/igm.

I have been taking valacyclovir since July 2nd 2x daily.
I have felt just not right since the possible exposure date (or shortly after).
My penis has gone through feelings of tingling sensations, heat, pain but not to touch, pain in my pelvis.  Things seemed to of started with a burning sensation in the inner thigh.
I feel as I am having shooting sensation in my legs and occasionally have an itchy/tingle around where my pubic hair is from time to time.  Hell, today and maybe yesterday I've noticed tingling in my scalp.
I tried again today to not take the valacyclovir and lasted until about 11:30 am after waking up around 8 am.  My lips and the skin around my face starts to burn and the tingling around the pubic hair area of my genitals increase in its sensations.  It's almost as a sleeping demon is waking up when I don't take the meds.  When I take it, it takes about a day or so for things to get back in control.
My penis/genitals have also not smelled the same since.  It seems my scent has changed.
Today is day 68 - is this how it's going to be forever?
I am worried I have this all over my face as the burning is in the corners of my mouth and down my chin, as well as my nose.
I have not shown any sores however I do feel my penis and scrotum has felt hot and sometimes red, typically on the head of the penis at the urethra.  Multiple dr's say it looks normal to them.
I am so lost and feel like I am falling apart physically, mentally and emotionally.  I guess I just wait until week 12 (in a few more weeks) to maybe test positive... but then what?

@DJwah curious about your results. anything you can share?

Thanks. Did you experience general discomfort when urinating for quite a while after the excruciating part was done, or was it instantly over after the week with antivirals?
    • HerpesOrNot
Thanks for the response.  I have been tested for HSV over and over for 5 months (IgM 1 time and IgG over 5 times) and been negative on everything, including a swab of a red rash and of an irritated urethral opening.  My very first symptom of anything was VERY painful urination that lasted about a day or two if I recall, followed a week or so later by a sore throat, chills, night sweats, and fatigue.  Things settled for maybe a few days, then came an extremely itchy anus/rectum with redness for weeks, itchy groin with no redness at all, then eventual red, itchy rash in groin and increase in redness on penile skin with mild itching. Never had a lesion or blister anywhere from what I've seen. Nothing seems to coincide with typical herpes, but herpes isn't always typical from what I've learned. Creams of all kinds from doctors are not helping at all.  I seem to have a new bug no one has ever come across (doubtful), or an atypical case of herpes or something similar.

No, Sebi was a fraud. This article is an interesting summary. https://www.thebody.com/article/dr-sebi-did-not-cure-hiv-nipsey-hussle-documentary If you’re basing the possibility of ‘cures’ on Sebi, I’ve got a car for sale that’s had one careful lady driver! Its simply fact that of the 40 billion people who have ever had HSV 1/2, not one eradicated it from their body.

I'm amazed people do not think outside the box and to go to great efforts to reply to me saying "it's not curable" I simply cannot understand. If you truly believe Western Medicine and they say it's not curable then whatever they claim in the future you will live your life with their scientific proof. I simply have posted here to hear from like minded people who are juicing and doing colonics to see what their results are. People who have had cancer have cured it with a alternative lifestyle becoming vegan etc so if cancer is cureable who can't you open your mind and just think could hsv be curable? did you know Dr Sebi was taken to court because he claimed he cured someone with Aids? He turned up with 25 people who he cured of all illnesses and was let off. So please spare me your thought's of "It's not curable" as I will never belive that. Unless you have some experiences with juicing and colonics you wish to share then do not comment on this thread. Will no longer reply to closed minded sad people like yourselves.
