Hi.. Was wondering if someone deals with this as well. My legs are aching so bad. Its like the nerves a fired up in my legs. I can not sleep whenthis happens. People say that's a sign of an outbreak coming but no blisters pop up. The pain is more severe at night and radiates through my whole body. I'm newly diagnosed (3 months) and I just wish I was one of those people who say "I never get outbreaks and even forget sometimes that I have it". Unfortunately for me the nerve pain is a constant reminder. Last night the nerve pain was do bad I just had to reach out to somebody. I'm trying to get thru this without taking antivirals. As I type now it feels like my legs are burning. I'm trying not to cry. So many people seem to be living a great life with genital herpes but it seems to be wearing me down.

I thought I had nerve pain caused my HSV for the longest time b/c my left leg had sciatic type pains. If you Google "HSV, leg pain" it will show hundreds of people with this complaint. Then I got an X-ray done and realized I had a pinched L5, and a tilted pelvis that was putting pressure on my SI joint. I was on tramadol for the longest, and when it would flare up I would be in excruciating agony. It didn't help that it was a virus from my rapist. I thought I was going to kill myself. I'm still not entirely convinced it's not the virus, but the muscle relaxant Flexirl knocks it out completely in ways opiates and over the counter meds could not, so maybe I had some piriformis syndrome going on as well. I contracted HSV about 5 years ago and didn't realize I had it until  one year ago. No matter what it's caused by, I've heard many reports of neuralgia resolving itself so please have hope. Meds might be a good way for you to tell if it is caused by the virus, I would give Valtrex a shot.

I’ve been diagnosed with hsv1 and have had some cold sores on the inside of my lips.
I’ve been diagnosed for some time with that. But around July 2020 I went in for an std panel and to my surprise my hsv2 IGG levels were equivocal.
My doctor at the time told me that I indefinitely had hsv2 although I’ve never had any symptoms.
This began a whole craze. I switched doctors and ordered another hsv2 test that also came back equivocal and was told that what the first doctor said was correct, that I do in fact have hsv2.
The fact that I wasn’t testing positive and none of my past sexual partners tested positive led me to think I should keep getting tested to confirm whether I do or don’t have it.
So I went for the third test and it was .72 IGG which would be a negative. (Around July 2020 as well)
I was still a little confused so I went for another a couple months later in October 2020, this hsv2 test was .89 IGG which is right under equivocal but still negative.
So armed with this data I went to a private doctor that I paid out of pocket for because I began to think that the Medicaid doctors might be wrong and maybe underpaid or whatever I dunno it just didn’t make sense. So I went to the private doctor and at the time I had what seemed to be like a small ingrown hair and I showed them and showed them my data. They said based off the ingrown hair that it was just an ingrown hair, and that the lab results were correct and that I had no hsv2 and that the prior doctors were wrong. The doctor said I should’ve never been tested because I never had any symptoms prior to that small ingrown hair.
So this made me happy but also made me lose faith in our healthcare system.
But just recently I went back for my 10 panel and on 6/9/2021 my hsv2 results were 1.11 IGG which indicates I am positive. This is driving me crazy and on a side note I noticed that my hsv1 IGG levels were both gradually going up as the hsv2 was creeping up. I dunno if there’s any correlation there but it’s just something I went back to look at out of curiosity because I do know I’m hsv1 positive.
At this point I just want to know if I am in fact hsv2 positive, what should I do? I want to get the western blot test because it’s supposedly the golden standard.

Hi, me again. I thought I’d gotten over all the herpes obsession but now I’ve noticed red spots near my vagina entrance and I’m beyond panicked. They are on both sides, they don’t itch and aren’t really sore, which I know usually is symptoms for herpes. I’ve had them for 3 days now and they haven’t necessarily changed shape, which I know is common. Someone please help me! What is this? I’m on my period, is it irritation? I’ve been with the same guy for months now so I’ve either had it and not known or possibly got it from him. It’s not letting me upload pictures, but I’ve copied a link where I uploaded them. Please someone check them out and help me  https://patient.info/forums/discuss/do-i-have-herpes--761234

Hello everyone. A sex worker performed oral sex on me on December 17, 2020, after 2 days I go with a doctor friend I tell him that I made a mistake that I am afraid of an STD (I am married) he gives me cetriaxone, he gives me azithromycin and 7 days of tetracycline . I go home and have sex with my wife on December 24 and 26, on December 27 I have a discomfort when urinating, in January another doctor formulates gentamicin and it is removed, but I am left with a strange sensation in my urethra, he tells me that probably kidney stones. On February 17, a bright red ulcer appears on my glans, when I see it, I panic and go to the hospital, they test me for all HIV (I already have 5 tests to date), syphilis (vdrl fat-abs), chlamydia and gonorrhea all The doctor checks the lesion and tells me that it is not herpes, it does not look like herpes because there were no blisters or blisters. Anyway, I started taking acyclovir and 8 days after having the wound (it already had a white scab on top, it healed after 2 days) I did the herpes test (I had about 3 days taking acyclovir) I clarify since I was little I have had h1 on my lips, the results were the following IgG for h1 positive (obviously) IgG for h2 negative IgM for h1 negative IgM for h2 negative I don't know what to do I don't trust the tests these tests were taken 10 weeks after contact apart from that I used a cream that had a strong ration on my penis and burned it by 80% and to this date it is recovered

Lomatium about 75ml twice a day, For me, and Oregon Grape Extract along with Woodland Essentials “Auntie Vi” and thc coco oil tincture along with no Turkey and little pork diet has been good. Lots of sunlight exposure and Tequila!! And you have to remember that the mind is the main element that triggers it: Have you ever had no symptoms, and just thought about that spot, and then something appears? I have about five separate reoccurring exact spots that seem to be triggered by different things.. Like being sad, or friction with clothing, or foods/diets… So crazy!! Feels like no doctors really know. It would be nice if there was an HSV positive genius scientist that really cared.    I pray that the spider bite would help or be an option for some miracles.., IS IT CRAZY TO THINK ABOUT INSECT VENOM, injected to the exact nerve, and it just fries the virus, but human cells are restored somehow? Idk, seems possible.    Good luck to you, one positive to my sex life is…. It’s been 100 times better since I’ve contracted this disease. Sounds weird, but getting it right after a divorce with my ex and having really boring sex for 15 years, it still is possible to do anything you ever wanted to do. Trying to tell myself something positive. It’s hard, try to be happy.

Maybe you have hsv on your thumb, but it never was strong enough there to cause an outbreak before? Keep us posted on how you are doing on Lomatium. So you think it's the Lomatium working and not the weird spider bite you mentioned? Was that just a joke?  I suggest we just ignore the other two judgmental trolls that keep chiming in on defending Big Pharma when they have no leg to stand on because they know just as much as we do that not one virus has been cured by the pharmaceutical companies except Hep C (for some), and that was just by mistake. I just want this thread to focus on Lomatium and not get gunked up with their vitriol.   I do have HSV2, unlike what some idiot on here thinks. I've been tested numerous times and my symptoms are all genital. The lomatium is making my symptoms milder, but not all gone. Are you taking it just once per day? How much do you take? What brand? I still get some irritation and one sore has popped up twice since starting it. During the day it is much better, but at night is when the symptoms get stronger, but with Lomatium my nights are better. I have less discomfort than in the past. I frequently have difficulty sleeping due to the pain of the hsv causing prodrome symptoms at night. I am still using some ointments at night, some nights, but it's not as bad as before. The ointments are not as necessary as before. I also take the Munity Boost and Liver Love by Barlow Herbal daily, and sometimes I take a scoop of Lauricidin.  I know 3 other people on Facebook that I speak to who are about to start taking Lomatium for their severe and chronic hsv. I'll share their stories on here as best I can.

That's right.  For established infections, only the FHC have been successful so far.

I think I can! I'm just worried about that huge blister on my lip in 2016. I can't think of anything that would cause that other than HSV and syphilis, which I'm both negative for.

Currently, the work at FHC is the only one that appears to be able to edit out existing latent virus; at least in mice. Animal tests are currently in progress using guinea pigs which is a better model. This work will be conducted over the next few years.
