Outbreaks near vag opening after masterbation

I apologise if this is too detailed but I really need to know if this is to be expected every time I try to please myself. I was diagnosed with HSV2 in March this year. The outbreak happened right at the bottom entry of my vaginal opening. Originally I thought I had a vaginal tear from sex (well I did) and it turned into a herpes infection.

After my first breakout I have had two more small ones. Both outbreaks occurred after having a clitoral orgasm initiated by using a vibrator on myself. Never have I inserted anything in my vagina yet my outbreaks keep occurring in the same area near the bottom of my vaginal opening! I'm so confused as to why this is happening especially since I am not rubbing on the area where the outbreaks are popping up.

This is so disheartening because now I fear that all intimate pleasure with myself or anyone for that matter) will result in an outbreak. How can I make this better? Of course I take valtrex when the outbreaks happen but I don't want to takev them on the daily. I've been supplementing with 2000mg lysine and 2000mg c-plus citrus bioflavonoids. I have been a big believer in holistic healing so any advice in that realm would be helpful as well.

I'm just really curious if anyone else out there is having these same issue and if so did it persist or is this just going to eventually subside?

In many cases the location of where the blisters appear will be very close to the original infection.  However occasionally it can/will move. But more likely to be close to where it first entered.

I don't believe your orgasm is likely causing he outbreak itself.  You are new to the infection and during the first 6months to year from infection you will have the most activity.

You may want to consider suppressive AVs at least for several months.  Give your area some time to fully heal and body to strengthen in fighting the virus and then consider weaning off say Sept / Oct and see what happens.

Get yourself some fulvic acid and add it into your supplement regime.

I should add I am also taking Betaine HCL and Digestive Enzyme 270. I was seen by a holistic doctor about twenty days ago and he suggested that I takes them right before meals as I may have issues absorbing nutrients and he thinks I may not be producing enough stomach acid which can be causing Digestive issues. What is your perspective on fulvic acid? Do you use it similarly?

Actually that’s actually one fulvic acid’s many benefits. It helps with maintaining a healthy gut flora, and assists the absorption of nutrients.  It also fights viruses by coating them which then allows the body to attack the virus.  Not many people have heard or know about fulvic acid. It’s naturally occurring in earths soils, rocks and streams, and provides tons of benefits to the human body and even in agriculture, wheres it used by farmers to help with nutrient uptake in plants.  I’m currently on month 5 outbreak free.  Give it a try and let us know how it works for ya.

Do you know of any interactions with hydrochloric acid betaine? Wondering if I should swap it out for the FA? Don't want too much acid, could year my stomach up right?

Not sure if I trust the advice of holistic doctors, I like to do the research myself. I’m not a doctor but the benefits of fulvic acid are tremendous and there aren’t any known side effects to my knowledge.  My digestion has improved greatly when I started using fulvic acid, in addition to that my hair got thicker and darker according to my hair stylist, also libido improved 10 fold.

Great thread @jxc1337

& Ribbon! Do you have your protocol for HSV from the Naturopathic doc? Are you planning on getting one, Miss Ribbon?!

What do you mean by protocol? I'll tell you exactly what they put me on:

Vitamin C - 2K mg a day

lysine- 2K mg a day

Chaparral - 1K mg a day

Astragalus - 1125mg a day

Digestive and pre digestive enzymes each time before I eat food.

Bioven - immune modulator treatment (took sub-lingually for 15 days, dosages are complete) suggested taking one more round if I still see symptoms.

I will admit that the outbreak happened during a time I had stopped taking Lysine for 4 days because I ran out - ugh. But both times I had an outbreak were after masturbation. Also I want taking the Astralagus or Chaparral as suggested and I was finished already with the Bioven.

where do you buy this ? or what is it exactly? I can only find a cancer company or a skin care product.

As for the original question, I think eventually it won't happen after every time you masturbate, You are still new to the virus. It could be coincidental.

Another person on here  once said that his horniness indicated the virus wanted to replicate - not scientific but not unbelievable either.

I think its friction or nerve impulses being activated??!!??

I am still always very nervous if I masturbate from fear of having an OB.  ( I try to make it quick so there is less friction.) I rarely masturbate (because of the fear of Obs) but since I am not having actually sex, its that or nothing. I am 1 yr and 6 months to having this F'ed up virus.

Well the location where there is friction (my clitoris) is no where near where my breakouts are which happen and the lowest entry point of my vaginal hole right at the edge of the perineum. I do contract the muscles there when orgasming so wondering if that's triggering it. But yea, now I'm nervous to feel horny.

The sublingual med is a Homeopathic remedy that my naturopath suggested I try if I could afford it. He gave me no real history in the medicine but after I purchased it I looked up one of the ingredients naja naja and found out I was giving myself small doses of venom from a viper smaller. The research behind it says it can help reduce OBs. The naturopath said I might need to take it twice but he's had folks say they didn't have outbreaks for two years after.  Well first time didn't fully work for me. I purchased from the Homeopathic store he works out of in Redondo Beach it was about $115. I'm going to do it one more time...

I can't find the image of the clitoral nerve ending that I once saw, kind of makes sense that it may cause an OB. just never experienced it. neat link on 8K nerve endings

My breakouts happen right at the posterior fourchette

I was having a similar issue after being diagnosed 1year ago but it ended up being completely unrelated. Might be coincidental

What was causing the issue?

I found it online now. www.Bioven.org

I’m going to force him to get tested ! Thanks for your help !

@EssenceL25 there really isn't a question mark around the source, it's your latest partner. The median time from infection to an outbreak of lesions upon initial infection is 4 days.  The only thing that isn't certain is the type I suggest.
    • EssenceL25
I asked if it was hsv 1 or 2 and the doctor said it was Hsv2. I’m not sure i just asked him when he was tested last he said this year I said I think we should go test together and he agreed . I’m going to bring it up again cause I really need to know if he gave this to me I wasn’t sure since it was so close to my previous relationship.

@EssenceL25 then it is all beyond reasonable doubt that the current partner is the source. A 'perfect' fit in terms of timing, symptoms and swab. It may be though that the type is not technically known. Culture swabs are very often not typed and just assumed to be HSV-2 if taken from a genital location. If you received oral sex in the days leading into 7 March then it is 50/50 as to whether this is HSV-1 or HSV-2. You could contact your doctor and confirm if the swab was actually typed (which is a second test where fluorescent antibodies for HSV-1 and HSV-2 are added and see which one 'glows').  If that test wasn't done then you do not know type. If you have oral HSV-1 yourself (cold sores) then this will be HSV-2. Does your partner have oral HSV-1? It is somewhat strange for him not to rush and test - many people have a 'reaction' if they truly do not know their status and have concerns that you infected them etc. (not initially rational of course). This indicates he may know his status - or maybe he just isn't simply the sharpest tool in the shed!?

I had flu like symptoms and ulcers on my vagina . They did a culture and I tested positive for hsv2. I asked my partner to get tested he agreed but I’m not sure if he will cause he hasn’t said anything else about it.
