Hi

i was diagnosed 2 years ago with HSV-1 (genital). The initial outbreak was horrific and since then I’ve have a few mini outbreaks. Currently going through a big one, the worst since my first and my lymph nodes in groin are swollen again. Is this normal? You mostly read about it happening just the first time.

It is rare for such a thing to occur. It is quite possible that you have another issue that is impacting your immune system and giving the virus a chance to outbreak.
