Gen 003......

I'm just wondering why with a 50 percent reduction in viral shedding why it wasn't approved ? They say it didn't work any better than existing treatment but if it worked equally as well or even close wouldn't it be worth not taking a pill every day ? I would have paid anyway just a rant

Honestly it wouldn't be any profit in that. That's why. If you cut out taking pills these companies lose tons of money. I pray they have a heart and really find a cure soon in my lifetime.

@floridaguy unfortunately, I think money is on their hearts. Nothing else.

Yes they profit off of pain and suffering. No way all these companies who have researched a cure and no one has come close? And when we do have one that has at least come close with Dr. Halford and Ractional Vaccines they file criminal charges on them. They dont care until it directly affects them.

But people have worse herpes because of the Halford vaccination. The people suing are the participants of the trial.  If you participated and you got worse instead of better wouldn’t you sue? I get that people are angry this disease sucks but we also have to remember that no one has an obligation to cure us, the people who are trying to are doing the best they can. This lives in the nerves and it’s hard to get in there and people are hoping gene editing will be the way. I’m just glad someone is doing something I didn’t ask for this I wish I had known about this and better protected myself but I can’t be angry at anybody no one has an obligation to cure me.

I agree they dont have an obligation to cure anyone just seems like it's always an issue when HSV is involved for so many people to have it, it's still swept under the rug. Not enough fuss is made about it because it is seemingly not life threatening.  I guess I'm just wishing for a cure to pop up overnight I know there are some good people out there trying.  I applaud their efforts.

I get it you know I’m tired too. I went from normal barely got sick to frequent illness and symptoms. It’s not a good disease in my opinion it’s one of the worst. I would love an overnight cure I’d probably sell a kidney for one if it came to it but the nature of this virus makes it a very formidable opponent. It’s in a very sensitive area that is not easily penetrated, if they could come up with a way to get in there they could do some damage by hopefully cleaving it and stopping all the symptoms even if the virus exists in the body it’ll be like a dead virus walking inside of us.

Explain your opinion on why they wouldn't bring a vaccine to market (gen 003) that works as well as valtrex but you wouldn't have to take everyday.... That is a clear advantage over valtrex so if not for financial reasons why didn't they bring it to market after phase 3? Th

No one got worse herpes, that phrase is just not possible if you understand the nature of the disease and what as done from my understanding the symptoms they experienced is similar to the live attenuated shingles vaccine where the vaccinated areas reactivated and some participants had hsv 1 only and were vaccinated for hsv 2 so if they conduct a blood test prior to vaccine they would show positive for hsv1 only post vaccine hsv1 and 2. This lawsuit honestly is hurdle in the race for a cure. As halford was closest thing we had to an available functional cure.

Lol worse herpes = worse symptoms. You’re incorrect in saying only the test showed things were off these people symptoms were worsened hence the lawsuit.

Actually, you can get worse herpes.  You can contract HSV2 in a second location even after you have been innoculated in a primary location for several years.  Two breakout locations vs. 1 = worse.

Actually that has not happened with HSV-2. After a HSV-2 infection your chances of a HSV-1 infection are 1 in 50,000.

Yes, but every married person who I found out about that has this waited 6-8 months into the relationship to disclose it. But maybe you're right. If I had told her 6-7 months in, she'd still have Googled it and flipped out, and maybe it would have been harder then. I don't know. I don't see myself going through this level of pain and rejection so easily next time. I really don't. I'm taking the meds. I use protection. It's been almost a decade since I've had it so I'm not worried about shedding or passing it on so easily. British studies confirm that the first 2 years are the most contagious and we're passed that. I'm just over this. I've never been in so much emotional pain in my life.

Is this herpes? I can’t find any pics that match this exactly and my symptoms don’t really match. I don’t have really any of the typical herpes symptoms other than pictured, so I figured it could be friction as I have recently been having a lot of sex with a new partner. Way more than normal. Started having unprotected sex about 3 - 4 weeks ago. These symptoms only started about 3-4 days ago. Felt burning in some areas and only some very few tiny red areas/spots appeared. Almost shiny in appearance. Seems to settle very quickly. They were only present for a day or so. Also had some very mild irritation after I pee but not during. This spot has 2 small red lumps that are now dry around the outside. It’s like it’s been rubbed off and the skin is dry and shiny underneath. It doesn’t seem to be lesion. There was no puss or any leakage, nor was the skin ever red under them. They also got better within a day or so. I still have red spots around but they are very small and not bunched together and some general discomfort but I feel it’s because I’ve touched it so much! Stressing a bit!  my research tells me friction burn/blister , Fungal ,herpes a bit of it all! I have no idea! Please help! Thanks in advance.

I’m going to force him to get tested ! Thanks for your help !

@EssenceL25 there really isn't a question mark around the source, it's your latest partner. The median time from infection to an outbreak of lesions upon initial infection is 4 days.  The only thing that isn't certain is the type I suggest.
