How to treat my outbreak

Recommended Posts

I’ve newly been diagnosed, I was wondering how some of you go about treating your outbreak. I had a new blister pop up , I took the medication for it. I’m just wonder what I could be doing to speed up the process . Also I work in a warehouse type of job so I get pretty hot and sweating in the summer . Could this be contributing to my outbreak?

Hey there Cinders00,

Since you work in a warehouse job, do you already wear breathable cotton underwear? They minimize moistness down there and I found that it helps with the healing process. Try to keep the blisters as dry as possible as with any "open wound"

I dab rubbing alcohol on my open blisters sometimes, too. This is not a proven method but it works for me because it dries them out and my blisters are more on my outer genital area.

Hope this helps!

dynamiclear rapid ..  don't eat junk so don't get em . mostly squash and veggies . more white meat .  go from there . good base to start from .  rapid can treat symptoms in the skin as well before it blows up .  do what ya think.  try it on symptoms that don't go away .  nice to melt away discomfort when it works.  worth a try.

Feeling Normal Again

Neem Capsules and Neem oil prevent outbreaks.

When I had frequent outbreaks, I started taking Neem Capsules (Organic India) and using Neem Oil (NOW brand). I originally took two capsules twice a day, and Neem oil applied twice a day.

It worked fast, all pain and itching gone after just a few applications. Never had a sore since.

Within two months of no outbreaks, I cut back to one week on, two weeks off for Capsules, and oil once a week before bed.

Two years outbreak free.

But if I feel the slightest tingle, I apply oil daily for a couple of days. And sores never surface.

Both very affordable on Amazon, and one bottle of neem oil lasts me months.

I take a few other immune boosting supplements off and on (like I take the Neem). Echinacea root, Dandilion root (I enjoy the teas like once or twice a  week), zinc and vitamin c (not usually supplements, more through diet, like increase in oranges and orange juice).

And whenever I take supplements, I take a milk thistle before bed, to keep kidneys and liver from getting overloaded!

I have a few really bad "not typical" symptoms that I drink Graviola tea for.

Hope neem will lelp others as it has me.

Hey @Fernie hope you are going well. The doctor is spot on here. Many people with HSV-1 end up with slightly elevated results for HSV-2 that does not indicate infection with HSV-2. This persists from test to test for some people. The Westernblot would be useful to you, but will just confirm what is being said to you. Most people actually with HSV-2 test above 3.5 on those sorts of tests.

Just got off the phone with a doctor and they said based off the history of my tests, it’s most likely a false positive.    they also said that because I have hsv1 that that could be causing the false positive

How do you know you have hsv-2 orally.  I read that having hsv-2 orally is highly unlikely.

I’m so confused and don’t know what to do.    Sorry for posting here so much but I’m just lost.   I’ve tested normal on these dates 7/14/2020 0.72 IGG , 10/28/2020 0.89 IGG.    Then I tested low positive 6/6/2021 1.11 IGG.    I went back after that test to confirm the abnormal results on 7/29/2021 0.78 IGG were the results which led me to believe that the first abnormal results were just wrong.    Fast forward to now I just got my results back this morning from 11/27/2021 1.17 IGG, were the results. I’m just so confused, don’t know what to do. I’m going to have a consultation over the phone with a physician today and I also reached out to Terri from Westover Heights.    At this point I’m considering a western blot and I’m so paranoid I also signed up for another full panel std testing. I’m just so confused and stressed out.  Hope my buddy @WilsoInAus sees this
