Ivig impact on antibody testing

Hi all, just a general question for the few of us who may have received antibody therapy (IVIG).  This therapy by it's nature is a pool of Igg antibodies.

Would receiving this treatment cause your body to build these antibodies? Or show reactivity on an antibody like test such as Hsv?

I would strongly doubt it, the range of therapeutic antibodies in common usage does not include HSV IgG

I thought IVIG was just pooled from standard blood donations and separated from other blood components.  Since herpes does not prevent blood donation I assumed it might.

Many treatments are now refined IgG targeted at the illness being addressed and even synthetic antibodies and peptides will continue to grow in usage.

Interesting.  I received IGG numerous times as a kid 30-35 years ago due to low immune response.

Just trying to sort out my low (4.5) hsv1 Igg after it being negative on a test before that (8 years earlier).  Still have genital irritation and burning on thighs from knee to hip.

It's been 10 months from exposure of concern.

I have tried various Drs Nd specialists and no one has an idea why the thigh burning continues or the penile irritation won't go away.
