Hi!

i have posted several weeks ago about my vaginal sores/ulcers.  My NP prescribed valtrex if i notice any tingling or sign of OB. But my test result are Negative for HSV 1&2 also my swab test came out negative too she didnt test me for yeast infection which i think i suspect! I have been treating the sores with triple antibiotic ointment and its working! The sores go away in a couple of days but more popping up :(

is it possible that i have fungal infection and not herpes?

It's very possible.  Also could be a bacterial infection.  Or many other possibilities.  How long since your last exposure was your test?   It can take 3-4 months before blood tests turn positive.

I have been with my husband for almost 5 years and he swears to god he doesnt have herpes even his test results are negative. So this really doesnt make sense.

Some people don't test positive.  Actually hsv1 has up to 30% of people test negative when they are actually positive (typically old oral infections).

The most rational explanation is almost always the correct one. Negative swab, negative bloods for you and your husband does indicate this isnt herpes. Yeast does seem to be top of the list.

Severe yeast infections can manifest with open sores.

A woman on the reddit herpes forum had this happen actually. She thought she was having an extremely severe OB, and it kept not responding to antiviral treatment and kept getting worse (this person did have positive diagnosis of HSV by the way). She ended up going to a different gynecologist and got diagnosed with a non typical type of yeast infection that took serious medication for the better part of a month to resolve it.

Demand a fungal swab and request it be tested for more than just the 'usual' yeast responsible for yeast infections.
