Can herpes move around so readily?

Hi guys,

I usually get my herpes (hsv 2) OB at the right of my shaft.

About 2-3 weeks ago, I got an ulcer that looked (and I treated as) an OB on the right of my shaft. It healed quickly.

A week later I got something that looked similar on the bottom of the shaft - followed the same protocol.

Now I just noticed something appear on my left of the shaft, played around with it and it popped strongly squirting a clear liquid - this never happened to me before.

I'm on daily 500mg anti virals, and for the past week I've rumped it up to 1g.

What are the chances what I just had is hsv, in your opinion?

Does genital herpes move around so freely around the groin?

Thanks!

@Blondi88 in short, an outbreak is possible anywhere in the boxer short area. In practice, outbreaks will mostly be in a similar area. I'd have to say though, that the shaft of the penis is a pretty sensitive area and in close proximity nerve ending wise. Hence I wouldn't consider that the outbreak has moved around freely.

Are you sure these are herpes lesions though?. Popping is not too common with herpes lesions compared to say fordyce spots or molluscum for example.

Thanks for the answer!

So, do you mean "it's not common for an ob to move around the shaft" or "the whole shaft area is considered one area, so it's definitely possible"?

I'm far from sure that was a herpes lesion - it looked more like a small wart full of liquid, and when I pressed it, it "exploded" and squirted a clear liquid, bleeding lightly after... Never had something similar to that as an OB or in general.

I mean the whole shaft I’d consider fairly close proximity.

Where was your positive swab from?

It does suggest the squirt lesion may be something else.

Oh, yeah, makes sense...

The positive swab was from the right, about 8 months ago... This is on the left.

Attaching a picture of the wound now - this is after I popped it.

Can’t get much of a close up but now, pretty indeterminate, reasonable probability it is something else.

I feel so too. Never heard of a herpes lesion popping and literally squirting fluid. Will still need to see what it is.

Thanks a lot buddy! Definitely helped!
