Heal World

Unfortunately, the failure to develop and treat hsv vaccines one after another in recent years has caused even the most effective TRX to return to clinical trials under the FDA.

As we all know, hsv aciclovir drugs, the world's best-selling drug sellers each have billions of dollars in revenue. Some manufacturers stopped the development of vaccines in order to worry about their own interests, wrote an anonymous letter to the FDA, in order to delay the sale of the world's only acyclovir drugs.

As of June 2018, the vaccine for research and development of hsv in the world has basically disappeared with the failure of one by one. Therefore, for their own health and family's health, I hope that each one of us can cherish and protect only Several manufacturers have allowed them to quickly produce drugs that will cure them and let us return to a healthy world.

We live in a developed world. Now we have the most advanced gene editing technology to help us cure it. Currently, as far as I know, only https://www.excisionbio.com/pipeline can make us back to health.

Let us work together to protect this unique research institution. This is our last hope!

I want a cure as bad as anyone, but some of you say some delusional things in my opinion,

I have even read things as make our own cure like it's something you just make in your kitchen without years of education

The kind of big time investors who chose gene editing or similar areas will likely already know about this company

they already have their minds made up about whether they will (not) invest or wait for more data.

If the HIV human trial is succesful they will have more than enought funding for HSV i think

All I know is what the pipeline says. And it says that trials don't start until 2019/2020. How long they will run and whether they will be successful remains to be seen. Also remember that the start of trials depends on whether the animal studies are successful. And there are always delays even when things are going well from a medical standpoint. So don't get your hopes too high that the trials will start as they currently state. Their biologic is a functional cure at best, not a sterilizing cure. But I don't think there will be too many complaints about that. I thought you already new about Excision Bio and their work.

If you wait will need more time

What a load of conspiracy claptrap. What proportion of the world’s people use antivirals? How does this compare to the market for a vaccine?

The simple reason why a vaccine isn’t avaiable is that the ideas aren’t good enough yet. Plenty are trying though.

What’s the difference between functional / sterilizing cure?

Functional means you will still have the virus, but extremely low if any chance of symptoms or tranmsission.

Cure means virus is ‘removed’ from the body.

Do you think that gene editing technology can be completely eliminated?

If this institution can get investment, it can be clinically tested next year. We need to pay close attention to the information, and we need to write an email to the World Health Organization, hoping they help us .

That a cell can have its HSV DNA clipped and deactivated. Yes!

Can every cell in the body with HSV be reached? Not sure. Feels like a vaccine will make headway first.

bio is trying to deactivate the virus but yeah it will still be there.

it should stop transmission but i do wonder would it stop symptoms?  to some people thats sort of a big deal.

i read somewhere on this forum that if they deactivate at least 50 percent of the virus thats enough to stop replication... is that true?

jerome lab is working on this to deactivate/eliminate the latent visrus but they having difficulties getting to it since its a densely compact dna strip, they say they can only stop 2% of the virus

Oh didn’t mean sterilizing is the same. So it’s going to be undetectable like HIV?.

You are right, but I still hope that the cells in our body will be precisely targeted and we will be healthy again.

No Heal World; The word Excision in the conversation on this thread was used to denote the company called Excision Biotherapeutics, not the verb excision, which means to remove. Of course, Excision Biotherapeutics came up with their company name based on the word excision because the goal of the company is to excise viruses from the body.

I hooked up with a girl yesterday and I lightly kissed her on the lips four or five times - these were not heavy deep kisses.  As she was leaving I noticed that she had a cold sore that was healing (scabbed) on the top part of her lip. My lips definitely made contact with the scab. I’ve never had a cold sore and my last std test was negative for everything . Any chance I don’t end up with HSV1 on my mouth now after this incident? I know it’s not the end of the world but everything I read says these sores are crazy contagious and primary outbreaks in adults can be brutal. Any insight is greatly appreciated

From what I understand shedding studies are expensive but even getting quotes and estimates on this especially in a clinical setting would be a step in the right direction. @destroyhsv, maybe you can look up labcorp or quest diagnostics and call for an estimate or any local labs in your area.

Hello everyone, Long story short - I had my first outbreak about a year ago, got swabbed and turned out positive to HSV-2. For the first month, I only took valaciclovir when I had an outbreak but seeing that I still had back to back outbreaks, the doctor decided to put me on suppressive therapy. This has never really helped, unfortunately. In the summer, I had no outbreaks for like one and half month but apart from that, I've been having outbreaks every other week. I saw a dermatologist about two weeks ago and he swabbed another lesion that was in my mouth, which in turn revealed positive to HSV-1, although I was on valtrex at that time. He seemed very surprised and said that not responding to valaciclovir is something extremely rare... But reading testimonies here, it doesn't seem to be as rare as people think. The last two~three weeks have been the worst for me: my outbreaks won't stop and it seems to be getting worst and worst. 2 days ago, my doctor put me on the non-generic valaciclovir  just to see if I responded better to the "real" drug but this has not helped so far.  I'm a healthy adult, I eat well, get plenty of sleep (I even take naps ) and exercise 4 to 5 days a week. I supplement daily with organic acerola vitamin C (1000mg), lysine (1 to 2g) and magnesium (500 mg to 1g) and take 1 x 500mg valtrex in the morning and evening.  I'd like to hear stories of people who managed to stop or at least reduce their recurrences and what worked for them. I really need help because that is killing my sexual life, and I'm not even 30. I've read a lot of studies on the internet about people developing resistance to ACV and the likes but none of them mentions an alternative solution for people like me. Actually, I'm not even sure I have developed resistance to ACV because the drug never really worked for me. Moreover, the very few acknowledged ACV resistant cases were in majority immunocompromised patients and as far as I know, this is not my case. I wouldn't really care about that virus if I had only one or two outbreaks a year, but having it non-stop is very hard to handle psychologically. I can't have sex, drink, eat chocolate... Even read that exercising too much could trigger outbreaks. What's left for me to do? Shave my head, go to Bhutan, live with the monks and meditate 12 hours a day?

I'd participate and pay for it if you figure out how to do a shedding study. I don't think anything other than a shedding study makes sense.
    • WilsoInAus
HSV-2 is only required to be disclosed in some states of the US if and only if you know or could have been reasonably expected to know you have it. There are no laws surrounding HSV-1 disclosure or transmission.
