Yikes, that's pretty horrible... I suppose most of us got the virus from someone who was too ignorant, selfish, dishonest or irresponsible to recognize they had the virus and take steps to try and protect their partner... But, I definitely don't think the virus is maliciously passed (as is your case) that frequently -- perhaps mainly because most people don't want anyone else to know about their disease, and so passing the virus creates the opportunity that they could become outed.
Sorry to hear that happened to you..
just in case you doubters still dont know what he is referring to, its to theravax. I dont believe he has completed trials on preventative yet - I have a feeling his announcement on the 13th of October will mention that he will begin taking participants for it now.
I had herpes given to me on purpose in a really mean deragatory way where the guy intentionally got me to not take a shower after and took me on a long car ride and then ditched me and never talked to me again. And he was told to do it to me by someone else's mother who I think now is like the grossest person on earth.
I have read this has happened but I just can't remember where I read it. I tested positive for HSV1 via western blot after testing negative via IgG 8 times. I only recently tested positive for HSV1 via IgG. I do wonder about if I might one day test positive for HSV2 because the test didn't pick it up.
