I havent had a big outbreak like now in over a year. I forgot how painful these can be. I've been diagnosed for almost 2 years now. Im not gonna lie. I haven't been taking my medication everyday lately, im not sleeping well and not eating well, drinking and got really depresse two days ago and i got my ob yesterday. I noticed depression is my huge trigger. Anyways any advice on healing my ob has fast as possible? Im trying to sleep more, drink more water, eat a little healthier, and destress. I also take a bath with iodine at night to help with the sores. But its so painful :(

vitamin c (a large or mega dose) helps it go away faster  for me, try a buffered powder ,so there is less diarrhea, and mix in water and drink.  as for how much, maybe 4000mg  up to 10000mg, but there could be diarrhea, you want to take to bowel tolerance, so maybe take 2000mg every few hours( until you know your limit.)

Lithium orotate- elemental (supplement) is said to make the virus stop replicating, I have also read it can mutate it though??

i'm sorry. I'm dreading the day i get another one. I thought i was last night actually. I woke up all itchy and red.  I took a variety of supplements , and rubbed teatree and coconut and st johns wort oil  on my vagina, Its better so far...

hope it gets better

Thank you! I think your right about vitamin C. A took a bath with iodine last night and drank a smoothie with fully added vitamin c. This morning it was still very painful but now it already seems to be alot better! Im not sure about lithium though :/

I'm having a outbreak  and I am very unhappy :(live lifelong suffering scares me :(I can not deal with this virus. But I am having frequent outbreaks Ghsv1 . I know it's not normal :(

Depression and feeling bad about it makes it worst for me. As soon as i get one i try to switch and be more happy and positive. I try to give only good things to my body and sleep better to help boost my immune system. And like @IcantThinkofaName suggested and that i am now realizing vitamin c really helps too. Just think you will get better. The iodine helps too. It cleans and disinfect the sores. If i don't use the iodine i noticed it takes longer to heal.

Hey @Fernie hope you are going well. The doctor is spot on here. Many people with HSV-1 end up with slightly elevated results for HSV-2 that does not indicate infection with HSV-2. This persists from test to test for some people. The Westernblot would be useful to you, but will just confirm what is being said to you. Most people actually with HSV-2 test above 3.5 on those sorts of tests.

Just got off the phone with a doctor and they said based off the history of my tests, it’s most likely a false positive.    they also said that because I have hsv1 that that could be causing the false positive

How do you know you have hsv-2 orally.  I read that having hsv-2 orally is highly unlikely.

I’m so confused and don’t know what to do.    Sorry for posting here so much but I’m just lost.   I’ve tested normal on these dates 7/14/2020 0.72 IGG , 10/28/2020 0.89 IGG.    Then I tested low positive 6/6/2021 1.11 IGG.    I went back after that test to confirm the abnormal results on 7/29/2021 0.78 IGG were the results which led me to believe that the first abnormal results were just wrong.    Fast forward to now I just got my results back this morning from 11/27/2021 1.17 IGG, were the results. I’m just so confused, don’t know what to do. I’m going to have a consultation over the phone with a physician today and I also reached out to Terri from Westover Heights.    At this point I’m considering a western blot and I’m so paranoid I also signed up for another full panel std testing. I’m just so confused and stressed out.  Hope my buddy @WilsoInAus sees this
