Can you have an initial outbreak both orally and genitally?

Ok, so I’m sure everyone is tired of all the questions I’m asking, but I’m trying to be as responsible and as well educated as possible.

With that being said, if you’ve seen my other posts, you know I’m still awaiting my test results for confirmation. I have had visual genital sores, and 1 on my rectum that started on Monday. Within the last 30 minutes, I just developed a sore like thing on the inner part of my bottom lip. I’ve never had a cold sore or anything before. Could this be another herpes sore?! And it’s also developing in my mouth along with my genitals?

This does happen, although it happens mostly from a partner's oral HSV-1 infection, it is considerably rarer from a partner's genital HSV-2 infection.

What you describe sounds more like a regular canker type sore. Perhaps when you back to the doctor it can be checked out, but I suggest you're anxiety is getting the better of you right now.

It Does not need to be. I had also a swab taken from my mouth that looked very suspicious. But it wasn't HSV related. Get it checked out so that you know. I checked several bumps. Facial mouth etcetera. Now i know that it's a genital thing. I am not scared anymore tot kiss...

I woke up this morning and it’s no longer a bump or painful. I do remember chewing on my lip yesterday when I called my OBgYN to try to get my results. I think maybe I bit to hard/ripped a piece of skin. Because all the reasearch be done says it’s highly unlikely to have it in both places, and I’ve never had a sore before

@MikeHerp if you reach out to him on Twitter and tell him about Fred hutch I'm sure he'll donate. I've donated and will continue. I've tested negative for hsv2 but I do have oral hsv1

Herpes is not a worry. You waited the correct time and your test is a clear negative.

They should give you an award In my case: I have been in contact with the doctor that will run the clinical trials in my city. Very unsupportive and moody person. He got angry because I needed a diagnosis of several symptoms affecting my mucosa, eyes and hands and I was assuming that all is related to herpes - well, it's true that all started gradually after the infection. He was upset that I was still looking for an answer, even if 3 years ago I received 1 box of acyclovir as the only therapy from the STD clinic. (!!) I wonder how he is supposed to run the trial if he throws patients out of his office and he doesn't want to listen to people, or he believes that 1 box of ACV can solve the problem. Nevertheless, there is a chance that my symptoms are related to arthritis, which can be triggered by pathogens.
