I need to know! Opinions???

I've had red lines on my penis head for 2 years now. It never goes away, never turns to open sores or puss sacks. It doesn't look like pictures of herpes I've seen, the anti-viral meds cleared up the spots on shaft of penis right away (which didn't appear until 6 months after the red lines on penis head). My doctor is very 'meh' about it and just keeps prescribing expensive meds. That do nothing. I think I have something else on my penis head (like a fungal infection or something). Is it normal for herpes to NEVER go away?  just slowly change shape over time? I had a urinary tract infection a month before this outbreak appeared. I can't help but think it's related to that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Hi

i think you should try a dermatologist. Also we know our own bodies. I have had shocking experiences with drs not understanding heroes or what may be going on for me. When there r issues. I would also see another gp get the spots swabbed and the dermatologist may know if it is somw other type of skin condition.

I'm 99% confident that these are caused by Herpes. This is what they looked like when I first caught the virus, and in the same spots as well, although now much milder and smaller in size.  I have tested positive via swab when I first got the virus, and two times via blood test. However, since several people here are doubting my symptoms are caused by HSV, I might do another swab just to be sure. It's still good to rule anything else out beforehand.

And btw  @ayekayelle I’m sorry you’re considering divorce. I hope you are able to work it out with him. But if you’re not happy I think it’s worth taking the risk of leaving! You deserve to be happy!

Ikr! I’ll have guys be like “oh yeah you’re right, you’re not gross or less valuable but it is a deal breaker” I don’t really blame them (because I am still coming to terms with it being “not a big deal”)

It's very possible he or you were mostly a carrier. Neither one of you have to have sores all you have to do is shed.
