1 year herpesanniversary

This past weekend marked 1 year I've been since being infected w GHSV1. Still single and it still affects the way I deal with intimacy / relationships. I am still not comfortable disclosing, although I have done it 3 times (twice went well, once did not). I am not with any of these people anymore.  I feel much better about it compared to when I was first diagnosed but I'd be lying to myself I said it's a non-issue.

I am about at the same point.

How has your outbreak pattern been?

I have never had a sore that is obvious herpes on my genitals bit continue to have many sensations down there that I didn't before.

I was expecting to be completely normal by now.

I had only 1 outbreak since the initial infection, about 6 mo after. It was after a bout of prolonged rough sex.  Recurred in the same exact spot as the initial outbreak. I took the medication when it first started to recur and it went away pretty quick. Very mild, no big deal. I knew immediately what it was. Very different than any other sensation I've had down there. Maybe you aren't feeling new sensations, but the smallest different feeling you think you might be getting an outbreak. When you're really having an outbreak you'll know it!!

I have pretty constant nerve, itching and burning sensations on the surface of my thighs.

No specific spot on my genitals either but occasionally get like an irritating sensation on my testicles or near the tip of my penis.

Not sure I could discern what you are referring to amongst the constant sensations down there.

Omg you crack me up. Being reckless is sleeping with a condom and not having any other sexy foreplay before just in case? This was not a random dude I just met at the bar that night, he had been talking to me for 3 months before.  The lawyer was reckless for not disclosing or taking antivirals or whatever. I trusted him for being so nice to me.

How could I have gotten hsv1 on my genitals as a child??? I’ve never had a coldsore either in my life. My body changed after I had sex with that idiot, which sucked  and it’s not pointless to know who did this to you when in some states it’s considered a crime to transmit an std to another person.

its very very very hard to know who gave it to you..my drs told me is pointless. and to come back positive for hsv1 on blood test, its alsaw kind of dumb because most people get it as children, and they dont have any outbreak..so could be the lawyer..or not...

I am in a similar situation. I experience the dizziness every day. I feel fatigued most of my day. I get tiny cuts in the genital area and lips. I get burning/tiny red dots in the genital area. I get tingling sensations in different areas. Valocyclavir did not work for me. I have a tiny, white bump on my lip that crusted over. All tests (no Western Blot) have been negative. Blood work is negative. This all started after I had unprotected sex.   What are your oral outbreaks like?
