I have recently started on famciclovir and I feel 100x better on this than I did on Valtrex

...

That's interesting to hear, I'll try to see if I can find it in Thailand. Currently having a terrible outbreak after an unusually crazy New Year's bender. Well thb, my outbreak never stopped but right now it's blisters all over the place.. just trying to sleep as much as possible and of course all possible supplements on the go.

I've been doing some more research on the holidays and I'm more and more feeling that all this is related to my TRT and Anti-Estrogen medication. I recall not having such bad issues during the first years on TRT but back then I didn't need an anti-estrogen drug. Someone on a TRT forum suggested to me to try and decrease my testosterone dosage so that I can leave the anti estrogen completely out.. maybe I need to check that out but it's a very slow thing to do as I use a very slowly working testosterone compound (Nebido every 10 weeks) so it's hard to make quick adjustments.

I have been researching testosterone as I am trying to sort out whether I am low in that and if it might be a result of lowered thyroid hormone.  Viral infections do cause lowered testosterone, and while i am feeling ok now, I am definitely not the man I was before getting sick.  Its been just over two years now.  The first year i was a zombie.  Chronic fatigue, no sex drive, fevers, poor complexion, and bed ridden.  I had an unusually high sex drive before, so even now while it seems my body has kind of stabilized with the stuff im taking it is still probably higher than most, but it seems ive aged terribly over two years as my immune system has been getting burned to the ground.  I would like to fight this and thats why ive been looking at things like low dose/intermittent thymosin, clomid, and t3.  The more research ive done on tes though, the more im thinking best to try and boost naturally.  Both the valtrex and famvir are toxic to testes, especially the famvir, which reduces testosterone.  There was a major league baseball player who got a pass after testing positive for banned clomid and it is suspected that it had to do with his suspected herpes treatment.  Im taking famvir now and I am worried about my nads.  It works really well, definitely somewhat more effective for me than valtrex, but importantly i just feel way better without the kidney fullness and whatnot.  My current stack is famvir, nac, glutamine, methylene blue, ashwaganda, zinc, selenium, pregnenolone, dhea, oleuropein, and succinic acid.  I eat only beef, spinach, eggs, sweet potatoes, bananas, papaya, avocadoe, bone broth, coconut oil, cocoa, matcha, curry spice, tumeric, olive oil, citrus fruit, apple cider vinegar, and pretty much nothing else.  I function and feel somewhat normal with this regimen, the thyroid inflammation is pretty much gone, and just an overall mild sickly feeling but nothing as it was before.  As long as I dont train too excessively in the water the herp doesnt creep up on me.  Next step for me is getting bloodwork done to see exactly what my hormone levels are and then taking it from there.  In the meantime i am still waiting for my t3 order.  I am going to try intermittently microdosing it to see if that helps.  Thymosin and stem cells once my business gets up to speed, which is happening finally.  You can order meds from US easily.  You just need to rent an address/mailbox there, very cheap, then do online doctors appointment, online pharmacy, and forward your package to whatever country you are living in.  Famvir is not available in mexico, so thats how i got it.  Costco online is really cheap with goodrx card.  Well, good luck everybody.  Hopefully a miracle will save us from this dreadful disease.  I was going to say im so sick of it, but ya...

Thank you Slkxx. I want to talk to someone I trust but I am so afraid if I tell my best friend she will tell her husband, which is understandable. I completely trust her to not judge me but if her husband finds out his best friend is an ex of mine and I just don't want this to get around our group of friends. I have been lucky in the fact that the guy who gave it to me has been there for me but it isn't the same. Confiding in him is just making his own struggle more difficult as he feels terrible for what happened but he did not have any bad intentions. As it turns out finding out led to answering a lot of questions he has had about other health issues he had. So in a weird way this happening may actually help him in the long run with giving him an avenue for treatment. I don't want to pile onto his issues even though he has caused mine because at the end of the day he is a good guy who had no idea what was happening. I'm so glad you were able to talk to your friend and I truly hope the suicidal thoughts become a thing of your past. I am here if you need another ear.

Various reasons are possible, including: genetics, immune system, triggers (e.g. stress), lack of nutrition/exercise, bad luck, etc. No one person has the exact same experience.  Have you tried antivirals?
