Can herpes be spread by semen?

If someone has genital herpes in the rectum area, can they still pass it to another person through their penis/semen?

I can't find an answer for this anywhere.

There is no such this of herpes restricted to tbe anal area. A nerve ganglion is infected that reaches the skin area marked out by boxer shorts.

Your skin will be the source of the virus and the rubbing of skin on skin is what creates any pragmatic chance of infection.

Semen will only rarely contain HSV, even then it is not clear whether this HSV would actually infect someone, it would be a negligible chance at best.

I have read that bodily fluids carry the virus, and it's not just skin contact. And fluids can still carry the virus while there is currently no outbreak.

I just can't find anything for this specific scenario.

And a chance is still a chance. Even if it's a <1% chance. I'm just trying to learn more about what I can do to keep people safe.
