I have all of the symptoms, but no pain?

So, about 5 days ago I had itching at the opening of my vagina. it looked like little cuts. I figured I had just had sex that was too rough. I just so happened to have an obgyn appt the next day for hormone imbalance. I had her look at it and she said she wanted to test for herpes, I was panicked of course and asked her if it looked like herpes and she said “well not exactly” but she wanted to test it. I was completely horrified. I almost cried on the table. I couldnt function for the rest of the day. Got blood work. So fast forward a few days, I was hoping it was not herpes but as time progressed it became pretty clear the symptoms I was having, itching, pain down my legs and butt followed by itching and then clusters of small fluit filled bumps. I also have horrible lesions inside of me at the opening of my vagina. its totally disgusting. However, What I dont have is this pain I keep reading about. Or any yellow oozing/crusting just white. even the sores inside of me were not painful at all except sometimes when i would pee it would burn slightly. It sounds like they are supposed to be very painful? She did do a swab test so im hoping I get that back monday. I cant imagine its anything else it looks exactly like all of the pictures ive been seeing unfortunately. Is it possible to have no pain? Is there anything else that shares the same symptoms and similar look as herpes? my blood test came back neg but honestly it was the first day I noticed symptoms that I had blood work done, so im sure I just was not detectable in my blood yet. my culture has not come back, hoping I get some answers.

What you describe may be herpes - or it may not.

I appreciate the doctor as made you panic a bit here but they are doing the right thing and exploring possible options with an open mind - it is good doctoring.

There is nothing else I can really add at this time, except for you to keep an open mind too. If the culture comes back positive, make sure they have typed it properly.

From women I have known in person that have described their first outbreak to me, a ‘maddening itch’ I will admit is the key symptom they describe in relation to the patches of sores themselves.

nope. unfortunately. still waiting for the culture. the “lesions” inside are healing but now I have red raised skin that itches. been itching for 2.5 days now. no bumps really. not fluid filled anyway. when I take a hot shower its even more itchy. at first I was likw 100% sure it was definitely herpes. now im wondering if it isnt and I just have some bizarre skin problem happening. I cant imagine that would cause open wounds inside of me though. im not in pain at all just itchy as hell. I havent been wearing panties and pur some intense moisture cream on it and it feels better. another patch i had healed without any bumps. so im totally confused now. I guess I just have to wait and see what my culture says.

although i suppose in the next few days if it is herpes it will start blistering?
