Hi! As what i know, since you are a female, these are the possible reasons for your OB:

-Stress, anxiety, depression

-hormonal changes or menstral cycle.

-food diet intake high in arginine.

lets wait for others to comment.

I was diagnosed in June with my First outbreak and I keep getting them too twice a month so discouraging! They aren’t nearly as bad as first one and don’t really cause me discomfort besides knowing they are there. I’m on Valtrex every day too and completely changed my diet so I’m hoping as time passes it gets less and less :-/

Hi everyone,

it can happen to have outbreaks frequently at the beginning. However, they are getting less. I had the same issue, at the beginning I visited my doctor office more often than my parents' one, haha.

I know it sucked, but be patient. Find your trigger! As Unforgiven already said, stress and nutrition are very important. I personally feel lots better since taking a glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice (half a lemon) in the morning. Hope that helps :-)

Roja,

do you take supplements also or just meds for prevention?

Maybe time to take 6g lysine, red marine algae, monolaurin, and Spanish olive leaf extract and see how things drop. You could add one every month or try them all then taper back once feeling better.

At the moment I am taking (daily):

* one glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice in the morning before breakfast (I just squeeze half a lemon into the glass) - this little change made me feel SO much better!

* olive extract

* Echinacea (also helps me a lot, I feel like it boosts my immune system)

I also tried curcumin (I found a medical study that shows that curcumin actually stops the virus from reproduction) but I had digestion problems after a while so I had to stop it. Now I will try zinc, I will let you know if it works :yep:

When I feel like herpes is coming, I usually take medication (Aciclovir). I also used to take Lysin, but I searched for medical studies about Lysin and I couldn't find one that actually shows effect on herpes!! :S

Oh, and the most effective thing that stopped herpes from coming back frequently was changing my attitude about it. Some weeks ago started watching lots of videos in Youtube and read blogs and since then I don't feel any more shame, anger or disgust about it. I am aware now that it is just something on my skin and that I don't have to be ashamed about it. And to be honest, since then I had less problems down there :yep:

I'm 99% confident that these are caused by Herpes. This is what they looked like when I first caught the virus, and in the same spots as well, although now much milder and smaller in size.  I have tested positive via swab when I first got the virus, and two times via blood test. However, since several people here are doubting my symptoms are caused by HSV, I might do another swab just to be sure. It's still good to rule anything else out beforehand.

And btw  @ayekayelle I’m sorry you’re considering divorce. I hope you are able to work it out with him. But if you’re not happy I think it’s worth taking the risk of leaving! You deserve to be happy!

Ikr! I’ll have guys be like “oh yeah you’re right, you’re not gross or less valuable but it is a deal breaker” I don’t really blame them (because I am still coming to terms with it being “not a big deal”)

It's very possible he or you were mostly a carrier. Neither one of you have to have sores all you have to do is shed.
