herpes or not?

Recommended Posts

mrAnderson122

So i had sex with a stranger i met at a bar. Condom broke while having sex. Fast forward about a week or so i have had burning in my urithera. I went to my doctor she told me its not herpes( no sores to swab) but tested me for other stds and bacteria (urine test) everything came back negative.

I finally went to a clinic and they did a blood test and told me i have HSV1 (which im pretty sure ive had for a long time orally) they gave me a 7 day supply of valtrex and ive completed it yet my penis still hurts and no sores.

I have an appointment with a urologist on the 12th im freaking out about this and have been super depressed for a month. I just need to talk about it

Hey @mrAnderson122 it’s great to talk these things through.

I think at the outset, it’s important that absent lesions, herpes transmission during sex between healthy adults is a very low probability event.

If transmission did occur, then there’s a high probability you’d have had typical sores on your shaft.

The sleep easy is a 16 week HSV test which stands a very high chance of being negative. Together with the absence of lesions you can be as close to 100% sure you were not infected as is possible!

I certainly hope this research continues. It all seems legit to me, but again, I'm no medical man (although I did play doctor a few times).

This is good information to know. To go from continuous outbreaks to none all this time is encouraging. I wonder if after you've given it some time and this regimen proves itself, maybe you could title it, and type it for everyone to read. The more suggestions, the better! You mentioned you've suffered with Herpes I outbreaks. I have suffered with the type II, and I recently read that Lysine doesn't help with the type II. I don't know about that, because it really has helped me in years past. Anyway, by mentioning in your article that you have type I will help, because apparently something might work for type I that won't work for type II. I myself will get these products and add them to my daily garlic regimen, and perhaps I will be able to eat whatever I choose without triggering an outbreak. That's my big problem, wanting to eat the foods that trigger the outbreak!

“..Meanwhile, the present study suggests LDXGFG as an alternative, inexpensive, and lasting-effect medicine for curing HSV2 infection caused genital herpes....” Anyone  seen any further research on this ?
