I don't even know where to start. I am only 20 years old. Today is Sunday and I found out on Thursday that I have HSV-2. And I feel great about it, not! So, I maybe a little smartass right now, but I really dont know how else to handle this. I've told my close friends and family, they have all been very supportive. I even told 2 of the guys that i had unprotected sex with that they needed to go and get tested. One reaction went very well and the other one..well.. at least he didnt' call me out of my name in my face, but he was mad. I had to tell him that you know I have the virus you don't. You may never be affected and its not guartanteed, so why freak. I really liked both of these guys and it sucks that I have to lose them in my life, but I guess its for a reason. I don't know who gave it to me. If the guy that was calm comes back negative then I know that i got it from this guy I messed with off and on for almost 3 years, who is in the military.

Sorry, that I am rambling, but I don't know what else to say. I've yelled and cried all that I can, but nothing seems to help. I just can't believe i'm 20 and I have HSV-2.

But when you get this stuff can the doctor or the lab tell you how long it has been in your body? basicly it's age?

Watch this video, right in the beginning they answer that but this video also explains so many other things. I hope it helps.

Here's the link again https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/30551986/ Bula, always include the http:// in URLs that you post so that we can just click on them instead of having to copy and past to the URL field.

Any views on this update on the trivalent vaccine candidate? Appears to show some promise including some effect therapeutically though not sure how much. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/30551986

I was exposed as condom broke and after feeling funny I got us tested and she sure had hsv2 antibodies was like 15.5. I never got flu like symptoms. Just this mild burning sensation

Thanks and yes I've been careful with towels and I take precaution as if I do have it. The thing is I don't have half the symptoms and maybe hsv1 is helping
