Anyone has erectile dysfunction from herpes?

Recommended Posts

farnsworth

I have had erectile dysfunction since after contracting herpes with no other major changes in my life.

My herpes symptoms are very frequent itching (1 in 4 days maybe). If you look closely where it itches you will see tiny bumps. These are almost impossible to see and have been dismissed by many doctors.

I have tiny bumps on my glans as well as foreskin however only my foreskin itches, I suspect because my skin there may just be more sensitive. However these bumps are always wet.

It is rare I experience a major outbreak with obvious visual symptoms however I seem to be constantly going through micro outbreaks.

Honestly life really sucks and I regret not staying celibate. The erectile dysfunction and itching is what is really depressing to me. I will consider a circumcision in hopes it will reduce my outbreaks as well as eliminate the itchy part of my foreskin.

For erectile dysfunction I can get my pecker to work with cialis however if I wear a condom it is still hard to maintain an erection.

Not sure how far away a cure was but I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I'm a pretty young guy so I hope something will have happened in 20 years when im 40.

Zinc sulphphate monohydrate is cheap on Amazon. It killed my itch right away! I don't know if it would act the same but if you want I can send you some if you are in the states.

There's a real good thread on it

There is no direct link between herpes and erectile dysfunction. However stress associated with thinking and worrying about herpes could be a big contributor.

Frequent itching is not a symptom of herpes, nor are continuous weeping sores. That very much sounds like a case of balanitis, please see your doctor for a diagnosis of this.

Cialis is a beta blocker of nasties in your body that tense your muscles at the base of the penis. The fact that cialis works does strongly indicate you are manufacturing a lot of these nasties. I'd suggest you would get 'better bang for buck' with Viagra, speak to your doctor on this also.

How were you diagnosed? Do you know if you have type 1 or 2?

Willsoninaus is an idiot.  There is a direct link.  The herpes virus will lower your throid hormone levels and tax your pregnenolone leading to lower testosterone and fatigue.  You need supplements to get yourself back to baseline.

Is this for topical or supplement? I will try it personally. The itch honestly is killing me.

No it is not psychogenic, I have actually been dealing with this issue for almost 2 years now alongside my urologist. It has physiological routes, however I am a health young male without any vascular or hormonal issues. I am leaning on the side that it is neurological caused by the virus as I also have a very mild tightening of my sphincter since then, both issues in the pelvic area.

I have also been diagnosed with very mild hypothyroidism, which this may be the case. From blood testing my testosterone has not changed much so I am not sure about that. I don't think my ED has androgenic routes as even a low amount of testosterone results in normal erectile function.

In all honesty I am surprised how under stated these possible effects of the virus is seeing as billions of people have this disease. You'd think there would atleast be some ltierature on ED as well as Thyroid issues or neuropathy related to herpes.

Currently I am looking to get rid of the itching which may require circumcision and in addition to that I would like to fix my erectile dysfunction but after having it for so long without any change I fear it may be permanent. So I must rely on pills to have sex but I can live with this if the itching is gone.

Zinc would be topical. I make a spray. 1t cup of water. Cut the itch almost instantly. DontJuan had a great thread in here about zinc.

Check DHEA levels. HSV suffering is related

I too have thyroid issues and take granular thyroid

Surely you show us some erectile dysfunction research that supports this. You wouldn't want anyone to think this particular comment is another piece of unsubstantiated gibberish like most of your posts... would we?

I challenge you to put up or shut up and stop feeding misinformation to support your own delusions regarding herpes. Please reflect on whether others deserve more respect.

This is because you are just guessing. ED has been well researched and no link to herpes has been identified. As you suggest, given half a a billion men with genital herpes, not one of them has ever had ED attributed to the virus.

@DJwah curious about your results. anything you can share?

Thanks. Did you experience general discomfort when urinating for quite a while after the excruciating part was done, or was it instantly over after the week with antivirals?

Thanks for the response.  I have been tested for HSV over and over for 5 months (IgM 1 time and IgG over 5 times) and been negative on everything, including a swab of a red rash and of an irritated urethral opening.  My very first symptom of anything was VERY painful urination that lasted about a day or two if I recall, followed a week or so later by a sore throat, chills, night sweats, and fatigue.  Things settled for maybe a few days, then came an extremely itchy anus/rectum with redness for weeks, itchy groin with no redness at all, then eventual red, itchy rash in groin and increase in redness on penile skin with mild itching. Never had a lesion or blister anywhere from what I've seen. Nothing seems to coincide with typical herpes, but herpes isn't always typical from what I've learned. Creams of all kinds from doctors are not helping at all.  I seem to have a new bug no one has ever come across (doubtful), or an atypical case of herpes or something similar.

No, Sebi was a fraud. This article is an interesting summary. https://www.thebody.com/article/dr-sebi-did-not-cure-hiv-nipsey-hussle-documentary If you’re basing the possibility of ‘cures’ on Sebi, I’ve got a car for sale that’s had one careful lady driver! Its simply fact that of the 40 billion people who have ever had HSV 1/2, not one eradicated it from their body.

I'm amazed people do not think outside the box and to go to great efforts to reply to me saying "it's not curable" I simply cannot understand. If you truly believe Western Medicine and they say it's not curable then whatever they claim in the future you will live your life with their scientific proof. I simply have posted here to hear from like minded people who are juicing and doing colonics to see what their results are. People who have had cancer have cured it with a alternative lifestyle becoming vegan etc so if cancer is cureable who can't you open your mind and just think could hsv be curable? did you know Dr Sebi was taken to court because he claimed he cured someone with Aids? He turned up with 25 people who he cured of all illnesses and was let off. So please spare me your thought's of "It's not curable" as I will never belive that. Unless you have some experiences with juicing and colonics you wish to share then do not comment on this thread. Will no longer reply to closed minded sad people like yourselves.
