Questions:

1. Can assymeyric symptoms like this can lead to a full blown text book outbreak?

Not in my opinion. Those exact symptoms, no.

2. Can i take swabs from the discoloration spot, even if i dont have bumps or lesions.

They can do a PCR/swab, but good luck talking them into it. You will really have to have a willing doctor

3. I can feel the same mild burning insise my urethra as last time ( experience around 40 days from encounter), but no swelling as such as compared to the 40th day experience. Does anyone else have similar experiences and been diagnosed with hsv too.

That you can find in the forum.

When you have burning, you should go to a doctor. It could be bacterial...other STD.

Think about your threshold for pain. I would say no unless you have an unusual threshold for pain.

In your recent picture I would circle area for concern. I just don't see what you see.

Update- its been 3 months and i went to the private sti clinic in Dublin. I again explained all my symptoms to the doctor. And now a days i have started getting few puffy spots in my corona, not painful at all, but a but sensitive when my underware touches those spots. Scale 2/10

Puffy spots on corona

After  looking at those, she things its not hsv as they are not painful or crusted. But i always get headache when those spots appeared.

She prescribed antifungal cream with some steroid. I insisted for acyclovir, just as a back up. And she tool complete blood and urine for sti checks including urine related infection.

Thankfully i am tested multiple times for hiv. She told hiv can create any kind of symptoms. My last test at 45 days was the reassurance.

What do you guys think about the spots?

Hey @Monty321 I’ve looked at the pic and I cannot see anything out of the ordinary and definitely nothing that vaguely resembles herpes.

You can only be guided by your doctors here, especially a dermatologist.

The private clinic i went for the test has messed it a big time. The clinic normally takes the blood and urine and send it to a lab called national virology lab, Dublin. The doctor has dedicatedly asked to include hsv test while sending the blood samples. But the lab has not returned anything for hsv. All normal sti test results are back and are Negetive. The doctor at the clinic has asked to perform hsv igg tests on the blood samples. I think the results will not be so reliable as the blood samples were taken almost 2 weeks back. Anyways, i am going to USA in September 20 onwards , location Woodbridge , new jersey. I am looking for someone who can help me get the herpselect and the western blott  tests.

It will be great if someone local can help me with that as this will be the very first time i will be in usa.

I am still getting some burning sensation from time to time. Once i found a very very thin but a circular crusty dead skin  layer on my glans which peeled out easily.

I am still using an antifungal cream and occasionally purell hand sanitizer on my jonhy. But coconut oil is the best.

@Monty321 Look into Planned Parenthood centers or do a search for STD/STI clinics near your destination.

Thanks. I am just wondering about few things.

1. I am not a us citizen, so no ssn or insurance there.

2. I dont want my details to be logged into usa medical system and show them a communicable disease ( in case hsv turns positive). This may have impact on my Future business trips.

Do the private sti clinics save all such details for a visitor.?

Secondly, i would definitely like to get the university of Washington Western blott rest done along with the herpselect ugg test. Does all private sti clinics supposed sending the samples to university of Washington??

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the details of the privacy of your medical records, so I'm sorry I won't be of more help there. STI clinics can send blood to Quest, Labcorp, and other labs. Not sure about Western Blots though.

You can go to stdcheck.com and order one and they'll email you the results in a matter of days. Or you can work out the western blot with Terri Warren and have it shipped to the address you're visiting a week before u come. I'm sure there is plenty of labs around the area u plan to visit.

Does anyone know if the western blot package sent is completely non-descriptive, to avoid giving away what it is? I wouldn't want the mailman or a front-desk person that receives packages to know what is in the box!

There will be nothing on the box but ‘fragile’ at worst.

Even inside there will be testubes and probably an incomplete UofW form where the collector will have to explicitly tick the HSV box.

So no, nothing will be compromised, it will all seem no different from any other blood test.

Thanks guys. Basically i am going to stay at a hotel as sponsored by my company. So the predelivered  box thing will not work out. And i don have any friends there either. But i am trying to get a doctor who can arrange that.  Meanwhile the stdcheck website info shows a lab in 3 mile proximity. Fingers crossed.

And yes i have never done a hsv1 and i think i prefer not to do it cause if i have also the antibodies i would make myself more crazy about the topic that i am already... i have that in mind always of 2016 when i had the discomfort tmdown there and then i saw blisters on ex boyfriend WEIRD @WilsoInAus

@WilsoInAus it means a lot that u answered to me! Yes you are right i have been months like this.  Cause at first how does my gyn prescribe me a topica aciclovir when she told me she did not saw anything and then the second time she saws “blisters” which i dont and she prescribes valtrex oral.  Then i do the exams and are really onfusing. the dermatologist told me he did not see anything of herpes and also another gyn I went after the two times of going to my gyn of all life who told me and gave me the meds and he told me that i did not have blisters lor sores maybe they were varicose veins there. But id weird cause no one can tell me what is was. Why would it be red and itchy and ti gling on the same part as 2016? Right. And that many different exams wow

When was your exposure though? Wasn’t it three years ago? Any symptoms outside of the genital area are not symptoms of genital herpes. Whether that’s on your hands or back etc. What are you talking to your doctor about, seems they aren’t doing their job if they keep testing you for something that you probably don’t have that doesn’t cause the symptoms you suggest.

I was exposed to it I truly believe that I was! My body still doesn't feel completely right! Now I have a lot of new sypmtoms like nerve pain, plus I had all the symptoms minus the sores because I had hsv1 already kinda spared me (at least I think) Body had pain on one side of the body, burning tingling, on hands and buttocks and swollen underarms. I also had a low grade fever. (which are all known sypmtoms). I'm so tired of testing at this might be next week

Hey @Samantha1997 this is all a bit confusing for you. I’m afraid that the best interpretation I can give right now is that you have a childhood HSV-1 oral infection that is producing erratic combined IgG test results. It would seem likely that you do not have a HSV-2 infection. And likely that you do not have genital herpes. However your suspicions need investigating. clarity could be achieved with the following: - a swab of a freshly emerging lesion - IgG testing that is type specific for HSV-1 and HSV-2.
