HSV2 info

Hello,

I recently completed an STD panel and was advised on the site of the following result:

HSV 2 IGG, TYPE SPECIFIC AB 13.30 HIGH

Index Interpretation ----- -------------- 1.09 Positive

So I guess from this since I am at 13.30, that I am positive for HSV2, would I be reading that correctly?

My other STD tests all came back negative, and am awaiting to talk to my doctor this week, but am obviously freaking out at what this means.

Can any other forum members help me out?

Hey @SparkyKS and welcome to the website.

That result, barring a lab mixup, is conclusive that you carry the HSV-2 virus. In all probability, you have carried the virus for quite some time.

Does this diagnosis make sense to you, do you have sores now and again genitally you cannot full account for?

I have experienced some of the sores in the past but I figured it was just irritation or something, but I don't believe they are there now.
