Fist outbreak of HSV1 on genitals

Hi everyone, 

I recently got diagnosed with HSV1, it started as two lesions on my inner labia, which at first I thought were two tears from having sex... if only. 

So on Sunday morning, I noticed pain, and on Wednesday I was diagnosed, and on Thursday I started taking 2 x 500 mg of Valtrex. So in total, I have been on medication now for three days, and the doctor told me to take the medication for five days. 

But, I have only had very very minimal relief in my symptoms, I feel like now I have a new outbreak around my anus. Basically, IN SO MUCH PAIN, I can hardly walk, I have looked online and some pages say use vaseline but some say not to but anything on it. I am taking paracetamol and ibuprofen. But its so sore, I think once I am not in pain and the OB is over I will also mentally feel better.the rock pain GIF by WWE
