Could this be herpes?

Recommended Posts

Hello I am sexually active and I had unprotected sex around 4 weeks ago then a few more time that week And a few days later I saw these crusted looking blisters 3 were grouped together but not touching and one was by itself hard and had a white tip I popped it and then white pus came out then i had protected sex with a condom and it turned purple like it was infected and I squeezed the blood out and it healed they aren’t in big clusters I popped the other one and white pus came out it scabbed over and I thought it was healing then I was wearing tight fitting underwear and I was outside sweating all day and the bump had a white puss tip and I popped it again now I have small red bumps between my head and forskin that just popped up 3 weeks later after I wore those tight underwear could this be herpes? I did start using a new body was recently also could that have an effect? It was never painful and when pressed on the bumps it was hard underneath just started itching recently after the small red marks showed up In between my head and shaft

Hey @Jeff_stiner those pics don’t scream herpes, but there’s no harm in your doctor doing a swab or otherwise having a close look to provide best treatment.

Thank you I wasn’t very worried until the small red bumps showed up yesterday 2 days shy of 4 weeks could it take that long for a delayed initial outbreak after the first bumps showed up?

I posted in another section but ive been herpes free for 8 months since I had a heart attack.  Im young for a heart attack so I was caught off guard but no Valtrex meds and no flare ups for 8 months.  Im used to 4-5 flare ups a year with meds and every 4-6 weeks with no meds.  I think its either the blood thinner med or the blood pressure med.  I just don't know but I feel better than I have felt in a very long time.  Better if this goes on over a year and more.

Its a crazy bug does weird things depends on your immune system.  Most people have raised red bumps looks like shingles in a way(blisters).  Some flare up frequently some flare up once and never happens again.

Hey i got it when I was 17 and I was all alone back in the 80's.  I was really bummed out.   They didn't have good medication either.  Now 5 out of ten peole have it and you can take Valtrex 1000mg and have maybe 1-3 flare ups a year.  Im married for over 20 years and have 3 awesome kids.  Its as bad as you make it. and don't think there won't be a cure in less than 10 years.

You'll want it to stop and hope it never pops up again but you have to face the truth.  If you have been diagnosed with hsv1 on the genitals then you have it.  Some people have 1-3 flare ups and never have it again like chicken pox so I hope that helps.  Hsv1 is the oral type so if you have it on your genitals it might not be as bad as hsv2.
