Test results at 13 weeks

Recommended Posts

Surprise

I jus got my test results back and I'm soo confused. I have been having nerve pain and pain in my left hip. Some back pain but found out that I have low vitamin D which can cause back pain. However, I have still been following my mother's regimen and I have some new symptoms of butt tingling and scalp tingling and ear pain. However, my test results are still NEGATIVE! I believe my mother's regime is working. I'm baffled, but I'm happy! I will test again at 16 weeks and continue my treatment 💪🏾 . However, I have heard about some people testing neg for up to a year out! Therefore, I'm still worried but hopeful

Hey @Surprise I’d have to say that the real question here is what made you think having genital herpes was even a possibility to investigate in the first instance?

I was exposed to it I truly believe that I was! My body still doesn't feel completely right! Now I have a lot of new sypmtoms like nerve pain, plus I had all the symptoms minus the sores because I had hsv1 already kinda spared me (at least I think) Body had pain on one side of the body, burning tingling, on hands and buttocks and swollen underarms. I also had a low grade fever. (which are all known sypmtoms). I'm so tired of testing at this might be next week

When was your exposure though? Wasn’t it three years ago?

Any symptoms outside of the genital area are not symptoms of genital herpes. Whether that’s on your hands or back etc.

What are you talking to your doctor about, seems they aren’t doing their job if they keep testing you for something that you probably don’t have that doesn’t cause the symptoms you suggest.

Hell no it wasn't 3years ago it was 3 months ago I have been having sypmtoms below the waist and above the waist. Which are consistent with hsv2 especially below the waist. However, I am having new symptoms such as tingling in scalp and ear pain. My doctor referred me to a neurologist. Nonetheless, I am hopeful I have one more test to go! I have to test again next month. I'm seriously thinking about re-testing one last time because I will e at my 16 weeks and I can rest better after I find out. The not knowing is stressful. Then I constantly hear stories about people having a positive result after a year ugh🙄

What stories of people testing positive a year later? They are exceptionally rare. I can think of one on here!

Most of the stories I think you are referring to involve false positives or childhood HSV-1 infections.

What about the thousands of stories on here of people being swabbed and knowing within days? They’re the real stories of everyday people like you, and they’re truly constant.

Well I'm in more than one group and I'm not talking about this group in particular. Just because it's rare (as you label it) doesn't mean that it can't happen to me. I've read about plenty of people testing positive later out. I'm hoping for the best but expecting anything. The human body is amazing! Anything is possible. My doctor also told me that "a person can be exposed to a virus and it doesn't stick. However, a virus must run it's course. At the end of the virus running it's course U will have it or I won't." I hope that no one has to deal with this virus ever! Not to mention the mental anguish it's annoying as hell.

True.

He has been wrong about members on this forum in the past. Don’t waste your time with him because he doesn’t even have herpes nor does he understand the virus affects people differently.

Like who? Name one member I have been wrong about?

Again you have been warned not to incite users in negativity. Your experience is one of thinking you had genital herpes but then realising that you do not. If you cannot share this story for the benefit of members, then you need to leave people alone. It is harassment.
