HELLO GUYS.

So i decided to write cause i have been really concerned since february.. okay so:

In 2016, i had a boyfriend which most of the time we used protection.. i remember that on april of that year i went to the gyn because i was having like some irritation on my labia majora and i thought it was of the Kotex.. i remember that when i peed it burned a little when it touched the irritation. So, she told me i was okay and was a kind of dermatitis so she prescribed a topical cream called TREX used for dermatitis. Later few months, i remember my boyfriend of that time told me that they have appeared like something on his dick. I looked at it and it looked like blisters they were few and they scabbed after we went to the urologist for him and weeks later they appeared again. That i remember i never saw something on me like that.

So.. i finished with him on 2017.. i never experienced Anything again that i remember since this year (2019) that from February i started like going to the gym and my pants started incommodating so i decided to look and my labia had a red spot and i started to be really concerned. I remember i felt tingling, pain on the legs, itching.. but no pain. I decided to go again to my GYN and she told me she did not see anything just red,and she prescribed aciclovir topicsl i dont know why..when i putted that i think i felt some kind of the cream hot or little burning .. that was on February.. after that i got really concerned cause i remember of 2016.. i decided to perform a blood test for the first time.in march after going to the dr

IIt was igg: 5.6 positive, igm: 0.60 negative

i told my dr that and she said well the historial now looks like u have it.. i went again because the discomfort and redness did not go so she told me like okay take valtrex for 5 days.. now in this consultation (2 time going) i saw like some mini blister there.

i took that and it was still red i think . Everything was from february to august. I was so confused that decided to do more tests.

May 14 on the same lab: igg: 4.2, igm: 0.85

July 9 in another lab:  igg: 0.06, igm: 0.25

since i keep having the redness i went to a dermatologist and she prescribed a corticoid for 1 week becuase he told me that wasnt herpes that herpes was blisters so he gave me that for 1 week and ir did not get better.. so the other week i went he told me that it was more like a benign tumour because when he pressed that spot of the labia i felt some weird sensation as electricity and i felt like something on the intern of the labia like the size of a Lentil. After that he told me he was going to inject it with acid hialouronkc botox to see if the redness diminished and it was true, the redness and sensations stopped .. the injection made its job.

On july 23 i did another one in another lab; igg: 1.41 and igm: 0.6

August 9 the last exam i did was on the same lab as the 3 one that gave me the negative: the results were: igg: 0.04 and igm 0.228

so my point is that i dont know if i have it or not since i did 5 exams and all were different. Please give me ur advice.. drs have told me that in dont have it or maybe i was in contact i dont know. They told me that igg means past infection and igm recent or active infection.

This pictures are not from the months it started they are from later months that it wasnt that red anymore but it kept the incomoddity there

Hey @Samantha1997 this is all a bit confusing for you.

I’m afraid that the best interpretation I can give right now is that you have a childhood HSV-1 oral infection that is producing erratic combined IgG test results.

It would seem likely that you do not have a HSV-2 infection. And likely that you do not have genital herpes. However your suspicions need investigating.

clarity could be achieved with the following:

- a swab of a freshly emerging lesion

- IgG testing that is type specific for HSV-1 and HSV-2.

@WilsoInAus

it means a lot that u answered to me! Yes you are right i have been months like this.

Cause at first how does my gyn prescribe me a topica aciclovir when she told me she did not saw anything and then the second time she saws “blisters” which i dont and she prescribes valtrex oral.

Then i do the exams and are really onfusing.

the dermatologist told me he did not see anything of herpes and also another gyn I went after the two times of going to my gyn of all life who told me and gave me the meds and he told me that i did not have blisters lor sores maybe they were varicose veins there. But id weird cause no one can tell me what is was. Why would it be red and itchy and ti gling on the same part as 2016? Right. And that many different exams wow

And yes i have never done a hsv1 and i think i prefer not to do it cause if i have also the antibodies i would make myself more crazy about the topic that i am already... i have that in mind always of 2016 when i had the discomfort tmdown there and then i saw blisters on ex boyfriend WEIRD

But the tests you have been having are for combined HSV 1/2 right?

Is 1.1 the cutoff for positive for all your tests?

They all were for just hsv2

Yes is 1.1 for each of them.

Good morning. My name is Marlena and I come from Poland. Sorry, my English is average. For two years I have been in a relationship with a man, for a year and a half I have been struggling with intimate problems. On average, my intimate condition is getting worse every month. Then I feel itching, redness, swelling around the entrance to the vagina, small blisters (not always). Most often it is only red and swollen, itches and then disappears. This state lasts 3-4 days. I come from a small town, doctors don't know what it is. They say it's 'skin irritation'. They prescribe moisturizing creams with lactic acid, probiotics. It doesn't help. I did a blood test for HSV on my own, which is very expensive in Poland, but it does not separate HSV1 from HSV2. The doctor, when he shows these results, says that it's not herpes, but irritation. I would like to add that in the past I suffered from herpes on the lips, then it was a 'scab'. There has never been a scab in an intimate area. Sometimes there are blisters that last 1-2 days, but not always. So what do high blood test results mean? I would like to add that in Poland people do not talk about the HSV virus. It's just that sometimes someone has it on their lips and that's it. Results translation: IgM HSV 1/2: questionable IgG HSV 1/2: result above the measuring range https://files.fm/f/4cpu7uee4

This is my first time posting here. Im generally pretty anxious when it comes to anything to do with health conditions etc. For context I have had jock itch and fungal infections previously on my buttcrack. I have had 0 new sexual partners and I am not concerned about my girlfriend cheating at all. 4 days ago my balls began itching and red pretty much all over, as you can see some general flakeyness and what looks to be a lesion I noticed on Monday when I checked them out. My partner and I do get cold sores from time to time so the anxious part of me is concerned this could be herpes, but at the same time could be some sort of fungal infection. My doctor cant see me until tomorrow so I just have to worry until then. There is no pain and nothing on the penis or anywhere else, just general itchiness. Any ideas if this is herpes or not?

Yes, but every married person who I found out about that has this waited 6-8 months into the relationship to disclose it. But maybe you're right. If I had told her 6-7 months in, she'd still have Googled it and flipped out, and maybe it would have been harder then. I don't know. I don't see myself going through this level of pain and rejection so easily next time. I really don't. I'm taking the meds. I use protection. It's been almost a decade since I've had it so I'm not worried about shedding or passing it on so easily. British studies confirm that the first 2 years are the most contagious and we're passed that. I'm just over this. I've never been in so much emotional pain in my life.
