unsure if it's herpes

Just came back from doctor, she said it was only irritation from constantly looking at my penis and she assured me that simple redness with no other symptoms is not herpes and that I have have to stop freaking out about it. Hope this helps someone.

I'm glad you received kind news today but it was expected.  Stay safe going forward.

Looking at your penis caused it to get irritated. Those are some special eyes you've got there :)

@rose19 We’re you constantly stretching and twisting your shaft to check for spots? I have been doing that for 3 weeks now with a flash light. I have no lesions yet and today is day 19 from potential exposure via oral sex. I have been applying lotramin. When I stretch skin and bend my shaft to check I noticed I am feeling throbbing pain After and my scrotum has been itchy. Very scared but just trying to stay positive that it’s from me touching so much.

And you are not going to get any lesions.  It's been too long for you.  Each day that passes is another in the win column for you

That's exactly what I've been doing, I was looking and twisting it non stop to see if something was wrong. My doctor told me that genital herpes is hard to miss and constantly freaking out about it doesn't help.

Why the fuck won’t the elites put efforts toward curing this?  I’m sure some billionaire has it?

I'm still waiting on blood test results to see if I'm in the clear. I'm 8 and a half weeks in and still no sores or lesions, just redness from time to time.

@Fred R...Looks like your day 1 pic that looks like your day 10 pic that looks like your day yesterday pic.  If there is anykind of irritation going on it has to be caused by camera flash burns because you are taking so many pictures.  That thing needs a break. And frankly..... We need one too, please.  You are ok.

You’ve seen my pics, you weren’t able to argue they weren’t herp

@Ole that is not so good and makes it imperative to identify what is going on. Hopefully you can obtain the type specific test. Keep an open mind for other possible causes too.

I would have to disagree with you on this. I have HSV2 on my mouth and I get outbreaks often. The person who gave it to me also had oral HSV2 and would have outbreaks every couple weeks. Also this Squarex newspost cites the prevalence of oral HSV2. They did not cite any primary literature but it sounds about right.  https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/squarex-announces-positive-results-from-completed-phase-2-study-of-sqx770-in-the-prevention-of-recurrent-herpes-labialis-300896065.html "Herpes labialis is a common condition characterized by blisters or erosions on the lips and skin around the mouth and nose. Most cases are caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), but 10-15% of cases are caused by HSV-2 with this percentage reportedly increasing. "

Thanks Wilson. U are always nice . I just want to make sure because symptoms keep coming and as I can’t afford western blot I think bkk have more advanced health care system and their test will be more reliable . btw I sent u a msg again , please reply if u find time
    • WilsoInAus
Hey @Ole the combined test is not so good when positive as you don’t know type or whether you have both. However negative is negative for both types with high credibility. The visual diagnosis looks like it may well have been wrong.
